Not a clue but it'd be nice to see an American movie that tells the story of the Military of ANOTHER country. Too many movies about the USA winning the Second World War on their own in my opinion. Don't get me wrong the Soviets would have you believe they did the same, and Australian movies (the few that have been made) are no better. I'll wager this movie about Kakoda that's coming out next month will be as riddled with insinuations of Allied 'betrayal' of Australia and the classic 'All Japanese soldiers were bruits to all Australian prisoners, but we only killed thousands of their wounded by accident' story.

And I don't know, if Speilberg touches on Israel, the Liberal Left and Islamic Right will undoubtedly scream 'zionism' at the top of their lungs.

Could be about the Six Day war and the surprise offensive on the Arab nations' Air Forces. Regardless of whether or not you agree with the attack, it was definately the Israeli Air Force's moment in the sun.

Highly doubt it. The guy is a cinematic genius, but this would be just overkill on Israel especially after Munich. I hope his next project is something entertaining and fictional.
I mean if this rumour is true, he's bordering on just becoming a propaganda instrument for the Israelis.

I kind of want to see a movie based on a fictional third world war type of scenario...with battles and engagements in different theatres. Kinda like red storm rising but without the gung ho clancy jingoism.

What's the difference between people who pray in church and those who pray in casinos?
The ones in the casinos are serious.

War of the Worlds. I know he was just trying to be faithful to the original novel, but seriously, as if the Aliens wouldn't know about disease after observing the planet and planning their invasion for a million or more years. And as if we wouldnt have dug up one of the tripods.
