well, this is the story on su-35 and Brazil
    http://english.pravda.ru/main/18/89/...26_brazil.html
I've read similar stuff posted by Brazilians on afm, so I figure there has to be some merit in this.

As for the range of zhuk-msf, I got that off a Chinese site.

keep in mind though, the range specified is velocity while search mode. I'm not sure the commonly given 140-160 for Bars-M is in VS mode or RWS mode.

      Su -35 has a radar ranges between 190 km ~ 400 km

Here are similar radar tracking / lock-on ranges :

the problem with bars is the fact that there are at least 3-4 versions already with specifications known only for the basic version..

that's true, I just tend to use the spec from bharat for the Bars version that mki uses. The interesting thing is to see whether Phazotron gets AESA radar out first or niip. But I think it would be pretty logical that su-35bm and kub would use Russian's best multirole radar and avionic sets. You can get a little info on kub from this site, a really pretty fighter, I have to say. http://mysite.wanadoo-members.co.uk/...s/su-27kub.htm

As for M2K with FAB, I believe FAB got some second hand M2K (read this on JDW), because they had some serious concerns over the cost of the fighters.
