Arkansas Governor Beebe has proclaimed that the United States flag and Arkansas State flag be flown at half-staff on Saturday, May 12, 2012 in honor of Master Sergeant Elwood Green of Norman. He was taken as a prisoner of war in November, 1950 and died February 18, 1951 in a POW Camp in the vicinity of Punkchin-Tarigol, North Korea. He was accounted for and recovered by a team of Army Specialists on February 3, 2012
