Just out of curiosity is a personality assessment test administered anytime during their career or at anytime before a promotion such as the MMPI?

Their personalities come out during their career and everyone is aware of it.

From my experience as an enlisted in the Navy.
I felt like they did a pretty good job of weeding people out at the 03-04 level.
