What an assclown.“He was the most prodigious personification of all human inferiorities. He was an utterly incapable, unadapted, irresponsible, psychopathic personality, full of empty, infantile fantasies, but cursed with the keen intuition of a rat or a guttersnipe. He represented the shadow, the inferior part of everybody’s personality, in an overwhelming degree, and this was another reason why they fell for him.”

Extra Armour For Afghan Merlin Helicopters
4 Aug [Sky] The Royal Air Force says urgent work is underway to improve armoured protection of Merlin helicopters destined for Afghanistan.
This comes despite reports crews are worried about flying them into battle against the Taliban.
The £45m current upgrade will include enhanced armour around the cockpit although the RAF says the work is routine and not in response to reported concerns by aircrew.
The work is being done as an Urgent Operational Requirement but it will still take a year to enhance the cockpit protection of all 28 aircraft.
However, six listed for Afghanistan will get it first and are scheduled to be ready by December for deployment to Kandahar. ....
