You know what bugs me more than HAMAS and their believers lying? It's the doctors, including a few Medicine Sans Frontiers, kept saying there is no HAMAS activity near the hospital.

I also saw security footage from the hospital of Israeli hostages being brought in the front door of that hospital on October 7th. I expect the doctors were less than candid about that too.

I'm no fan of Hamas but Isreals justification for attacking the hospital in the first place was that a C&C hub or simiilar was built under or around it. So far all I've seen is images of one tunnel entrance and some still images of one underground chamber that may be connected to that tunnel.

One tunnel into a hospital makes a kind if sense if you want to move non critical injured in and out without the Isrealis noticing during normal periods of time.or just let key senior officials get routine checkups without suffering a case of sudden onset drone strike syndrome. (SODSS).

So IMO to justify their actions on the world stage (not that Isreal ever thinks it has to) they have to prove their initial claims.

You may be correct in that there has been no definitive “smoking gun” evidence presented, but there sure is a lot of gun smoke floating around!
The Israeli military bringing people to the hospital! Wounded or hostages? The hostages being brought to the hospital! Again wounded or hostage?
The dead hostage found at the hospital? She’s was listed as killed in a Israeli airstrike, be interesting what a PM would show.
Just a single piece of definitive evidence would be nice.
But the amount of gun smoke floating around does tend to indicate that there is a smoking gun somewhere around!!!

        • SIGS analysis pointed quite early that a CP operated out of the hospital.

          • Sig Intel tells you where the transmisson aerial is located and the hospital was a good high point to position one on. Again not siding with Hamas here but they've run the strip for decades and can easily bribe or coerce cooperation out of officials in almost all institutions inside it. What we need to see is visual confirmation of the kind of extensive facilities the Israeli's have said are there. Hamas can't talk their way out of that.

Still means a C3 node being run from hospital ground.

You can have the Ayatollah spouting from the hospital and you still will have people who will not believe the hospital being used. Intel is not evidence. We don't need to prove it in a court-of-law. All we need is actionable intel and the intel was more than actionable.

The Ayatollah can shout all he wants. Escorted tours of journalists and cameraman from every major news organization on the plannet including the middle east through the command complexes you've discovered will still seriously undermine Hamas's global 'victimhood' message. In the west especially. Also journalists dont like being lied to, especially when that lie undermines their own credibility. They also have long memories.

Maybe for many of the mainstream/media it's not so much "forgotten", as it's indifference and pragmatism!

                    • Well, the hostage for prisoner releases have started. Was expecting Hamas to demand something like every prisoner for every hostage, after all Israel released 1027 Palestinian prisoners for Gilad Shalit in 2011.

This time around looks like it's 3 Palestinian prisoners released for every Israeli/foreign national hostage.

Now seeing the math is for every 10 hostages released another 24 hours of ceasefire.

                        • I reckon as the number of hostages decrease and Hamas leverage wanes, they will start making increasing demands for fewer and fewer hostage releases.

In other news, the US navy has captured the Houthis who seized an Israeli-owned tanker carrying phosphoric acid.

US Navy seizes attackers who held Israel-linked tanker

The assailants attempted to escape on a boat but were chased by the US warship.

US Central Command reported that two missiles were then fired towards the warship from rebel Houthi-controlled territory in the country.

                          [...]

The tanker attacked on Sunday was identified as the Central Park by the vessel's company.

Central Park is managed by Zodiac Maritime Ltd, a London-headquartered international ship management company owned by Israel's Ofer family.

Zodiac Maritime said that among the 22 crew were Russian, Vietnamese, Bulgarian, Indian, Georgian and Filipino nationals, as well as a Turkish captain.

The rebels are reported to have threatened to attack the tanker, which was carrying phosphoric acid, if it did not divert to a Yemeni port.

In a statement, the US military said the USS Mason, with help from allied ships, demanded that the commercial ship be released by the attackers.

Five armed individuals then tried to escape on a fast boat but were chased by the USS Mason and they eventually surrendered, the statement added.

Israel should step lightly. The hostages came back to front and center during the cease fire. Don't want to lose what they had regained.
