For your friend a 10 kg bag of rice. Deal? Some kimchi could seal it.

          • They sure as hell need to get reserves into place from somewhere else asap. I'm seriously startling to make list of Zelenskyy's f'ups since he fired the Prystayko. Yes, Russia has made many more serious mistakes since this war began but Ukraine is also building up it's own list. The difference? Russia can afford to make more.

            • Might not be the result of Ukrainian actions, but two Russian shadow fleet oil tankers, the Volgoneft 212 and Volgoneft 239, have sunk near the Kerch Strait today, at least one of them having broken in half.

That was just a massive storm, tbh. Can happen to any ship caught close inshore in such weather, specially to ships that can't manouver a damn.

He's a politician. It's everybody else's fault. Woe be the General who screams for more men.

The general who has been been overseeing fighting in eastern Ukraine has been fired as Russia makes its fastest advance since the war began and closes in on a key territory.

Ukraine said on Monday that North Korean soldiers fighting alongside Russian troops suffered heavy losses during fighting at the weekend in the Russian region of Kursk.

Well, It’s a bit different from the usual “falling out of hotel windows” tales we hear.
Also; purely coincidentally I’m sure, this same general was sanctioned, just the previous day, by Ukraine for the use of chemicalīs in Ukraine!!!

                        • How did this go down? An innocent-looking Chinese e-scooter just laying on the sidewalk somewhere the Ukrainians knew this guy would walk past, was rigged to blow up?

If you've got time and resources (assets) in pace? You just slowly build up a picture of the targets weekly movements and activity patterns because there's no rush. And once they're been established? You simply have someone ride the bike to a suitable location along the victims normal travel route, park it and exit the area while one or more observers watch on, waiting for the target to pass close by. It might take you a couple of goes to get it 'right' but each time you 'miss'? You can simply wait a while, then ride the bike away from the scene until it's needed for the next try. Whose going to notice?

                            • Yes, I figured out that much. I meant as opposed to it blowing up while he was riding it or whatnot.

Even assuming he rode a bike (which at this stage I haven't seen mentioned anywhere) it would be much, much easier and far safer to just rig up another vehicle at a secure location and then detonate it he passes by than to try and access his personal ride. That way you maintain distance between assassin/s and victim.
