If the Chinese invade Taiwan, and the US obliges to the Taiwan Relations Act, what does military confrontation and resistance to a Chinese invasion look like?
I guess it would be a gamble for the Chinese. Does anyone want to rebut the idea that China would invade Taiwan, knowing the US is obligated to defend it. Present US domestic turmoil and the public exhaustion of US foreign military campaigns could make the US look weak and not fully committed to defending Taiwan. Or because of present-day US attitudes and policies to China, does it revive the US, even may I say 'unite' the country into defending Taiwan and confronting China militarily?
