    WAB Screen Name Meaning?

What does your WAB screen name, signature, avatar (if any) etc mean?
This will probably generate a lot of obvious answers, but there are some people on here who don't know why you've chose that particular one.
Don't be afraid to give us a little info about yourself in the process

    Here's mine:

My Screen Name refers to the US Navy's squadron VFA-14 The Tophatters , currently flying the F/A-18E Super Hornet off USS Nimitz.
"Its record of continuous active service began in September of 1919, which makes it the Navy’s oldest active squadron."
I chose it because my late uncle served with them while they were VF-14, flying the F-4B Phantom II off USS Franklin D Roosevelt.

I never knew my uncle (my father's older brother) as he was killed in an auto accident when I was very young. Dad always said that the two of us would have gotten along famously and would've probably talked "Navy" non-stop.

My Signature refers to a climatic line from Master and Commander: The Far Side Of The World. Royal Navy Captain Jack Aubrey yells the exhortation just before leading the boarding party of his ship onto a French frigate during the Napoleonic Wars.

My Title "Cultural attaché" refers to a member of the diplomatic community with special responsibility for promoting the culture of his or her homeland.

The reason I use it as my title is from the 1992 film Sneakers, starring Robert Redford. An "old friend" of his, a member of the Russian consulate in San Francisco, sheepishly but quietly explains the new title on his business card: "Cultural Attaché". Redford of course knows that his old friend is still KGB/SVR.

I guess I just like the line of dialogue and the obvious diplomatic subterfuge used by intelligence agents working under a legal cover in foreign lands.

It's also somewhat subtle and non-mainstream

My screenname stands for Benjamin Isaac GROSS, born in '86.

My title is the name of my Brigade, the 401st Tracks of Iron. It's better in Hebrew, you'll just have to trust me on this one...

My sig line is just a sticker I have on my guitar case which I've yet to say to someone, but I'm sure the situation will come around...

My Avatar is the symbol of the I.D.F., I'm looking for one of the 401st, but it's too big. If someone wants to help me on this one, maybe when I get back in another three weeks or so.

My screen name is my first name and last initial.

My Avatar is my dog Sten who moved on to the doggie afterlife this August after 15 years of constant companionship.

I have no sig file because I hate them with an irrational passionate hate. Which is irrational. Yet passionate. My hatred, that is.

giggs would be the last name of one of favorite soccer players. Ryan Giggs, who plays for Manchester United.

1988 is the year of my birth.

Mine is obvious. I wanted to put 109 as the numbers but it wouldn't fit so I ended up with 10.

The name 'Bulgaroctonus' refers to the the following character:

Basil II "Bulgaroktonus" (in Greek Basilios Bulgaroktonos, written Βασίλειος Βουλγαροκτόνος,) "The Bulgar-Slayer" (958 – December 15, 1025)) Byzantine emperor (January 10, 976 – December 15, 1025) led the Byzantine Empire to its greatest heights in nearly five centuries.

My avatar is a picture of Friedrich Nietzsche in 1882, and one of my signatures is a famous quote of his. My larger signature is from a Buddhist/Nietzschean essay by David Loy that contains some interesting insights.

JG73 means Jagdgeschwader 73 "Steinhoff" in Rostock/Laage. It's a german airbase where fighter jets are stationed and the first one that's equipped with Eurofighters.

P.S.: How do one get a title?

Maybe obvious to some but not to others...you could also explain why you wanted to use 109.
Just assume that you are explaining it to someone who has only a cursory knowledge of....anything

I like my blue uniform better than BDUs. Or rather I liked 'em better before 9/11.

Also, I like the old bluesmasters - BB King, Muddy Waters, Lightnin' Hopkins, Howlin' Wolf, guys like that.

Go to your Control Panel (it's located at the verrry top of just about any WAB screen under User CP) and then click on Edit Profile, located on the left hand side of the screen.

It should be the second item down under Custom User Title.

Or, if all else fails, one of the Mods can create one for you.

my screen name is Maori for the Art of Passive Resistance and comes from a place-name where a particular battle took place during the Maori wars.
My current Avatar is of course the famous Lea and Perrins Worcestershire Sauce (accept no substitute) and at the moment I have no signature.
My title, given the number of accidents etc I've had during my lifetime speaks for itself. (Although I do covet Cultural Attache )
