More pics of Alaska - travels on the state ferry
These pics are of my self and my soon to be wife on the Alaskan Marine Highway System, or simply put, THE FERRY to all you 'outsiders'. LOL. This is one of only two transportation options (the other being flying) that we Alaskans who live in the Southeast panhandle have. Juneau, while being the capital of Alaska, is not connect to the continental road system (well, at least not yet anyways). So...getting around the area or even LEAVING the panhandle takes a certain patience, good planning, and lots of money! Oh well, I live here by choice. The quality of life is what really matters to me.  |
