I have had the great fortune of living in two of the most beautiful states in the US, NC and Hawaii. I still want to visit some of the others. In particular, I am looking forward to visiting Colorado, Vermont, and Alaska (but in the Summer )

These 2 afternoons I've heard noise of jets overhead. When I got to the window I saw a 9 jet formation. I think it's the Red Arrow. Dunno if they are having a show in east England recently (or rehearsing for an upcoming event). Shame I wasn't quick enough to get the cellphone. When I shot this they were already too far away (actually on this photo they should be somewhere on the horizon, just that I can't see them :(). Wish they would fly over here tomorrow again, I'd keep my phone in camera mode and put it within reach.

I had a friend from Chongqing who sent me a picture of himself with a background as in the 3rd picture you posted. I said wow that skyscraper looks really New York-ish. He replied with a laugh: of course it's named "New York! New York!".

Actually I'm more interested in this building (below), looking both modern and traditional. If I have the chance to go there I'll definetely see this.

hehe,That building with a spire, named "NY NY building". ) see the last pic

That pic you put,is HongYaDong, and with HuGuang Huiguan architectural complex,湖广会馆建筑群 (see pics below)both are the typical tradional buildings of Chongqing. Those buildings witnessed Chongqing as a immigrant city in histroy.

But ChongQing has less traditional and cultural, She is a city that lack coultural soul, So,you can see some pirate modern buildings all over here. Some said, the architectural art in Chongqing is garbage. But those are real Chongqing, true Chongqing.

different from most Chinese cities that have long history and traditional cultural, such as Xian,Nanjing,Shuzhou,Hangzhou...and, they also have some good modernistic architectural art ,such as Shuzhou museum, I admire people who live in those place.
