MCMINNVILLE, Tenn. — A former elementary school teacher pleaded no contest to having sex with one of her students, a 13-year-old boy, and has been sentenced to nine months in jail.

Pamela Rogers Turner, 28, entered the plea Thursday, allowing her to avoid a trial on multiple charges of sexual battery and statutory rape.

Turner, who had taught physical education and coached girls basketball for two years at Centertown Elementary, had trouble speaking as she tried to enter her plea. She was accused of having sex with the boy at his home and at school between November and January.

"I can't even talk," she told Circuit Court Judge Bart Stanley.

After Turner is released from jail, she will be on supervised probation for the rest of an eight-year suspended sentence. The judge also ordered her to surrender her teaching certificate and said she would be registered as a child sex offender. The sentence prohibits her from profiting from the case and does not allow interviews.

District Attorney Dale Potter has said Turner lived at the boy's house "for a brief period of time when she was moving from residence to residence."

The mother of the teenager in the case previously described Turner as a family friend and said she hoped there would not be a trial. Potter said Thursday that was part of the reason for the plea agreement.

Turner was a college homecoming queen and basketball player who once appeared as a bikini-clad promoter for a professional wrestling match. Her husband, Chris Turner, filed for divorce in January, at the same time she was indicted.

I cannot believe this woman only got 9 months and I really cannot believe the mother wanted to avoid trial. This is insane.

Okay, so a few weeks ago there was a thread of a male sex offender with a female victim. Here is this female teacher (I will admit, the woman is cute, Asim) and it is a whoooole different story.

I know every case is different, but there's a very high probability, there won't be a moment in the boy's life where he'll regret this incident. Heck he'd be getting some, instead. See when minor girls (by that I mean 15 yr olds not 9) have sex with older guys, its mostly some ugly fat guys (well in my mind, at least). And then there's this whole issue of physically weaker sex and if she was forced. Plus even still people are frowning upon the sex offender, and they just have no opinion about the girl.

They both are stupid, its just that in this world, this male victim has got it made.

The term "male victim" is rather an oxymoron, no? I am in agreement that not many male minors (or non-minors) would consider themselves a victim in this case.

I just have to wonder, though, what is wrong with this woman. She couldn't have had that difficult of a time finding someone to have an affair with that she would have had to turn to a 13 year old, could she have? I mean, even if she was a complete moron, all she would have had to do was keep her mouth shut and smile.

It's just COMPLETELY different when we're talking about adult women making moves on boys. At 13, if he was so inclined, he could kick the living snot out of the woman(or at the very least 'defend' his own 'honor' effectively), so it's patently obvious that the advances were not only not forced, but also quite likely were welcomed. The typical 13yo boy is at least as strong as the typical adult female.

I know I'D welcome here advances.

I went to a Catholic High School.

Which did wonders for my short plaid skirt fetish, but was notso hotso as far as hot teacher poon.
