You mean you guys have NEVER heard of Blue Bell???
Blue Bell Ice Cream
Big fan of Safeway's Alaskan Moosetracks. Used to love swinging by the Univ. Of Wisconsin ice cream place at Babcock Hall. They made an awesome chocolate chip with chunks of butterscotch. My mom used to make a pretty damned tasty peach ice cream.
All that sh!t is deadly to ol' S-2. GREAT way to go though...

Tillamook is the brand I mostly go for. My only complaint is the availability. Its made in Oregon but too much of it gets shipped to Seattle so often times its hard to find even the basics.Tillamook makes a damned fine cheese too. Breyers vanilla is hard to beat when you want ice cream without a bunch of things you cant pronounce in it.
I make my own peanut butter ice cream, which is pretty damn awesome, if I do say so myself...
Meddle not in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup.
Abusing Yellow is meant to be a labor of love, not something you sell to the highest bidder.
When I was young, Haagen Dazs was very expensive in China. An icecream would cost us 70 yuan while I only had 400 yuan every month. And I also never knew other icecream brand during that time.
Ten years later, I earn 7000yuan a month(1000 us dollars),which is a number much less than that in the west. Anyway, I could buy 100 Haagen Dazs a month now though I have no interest in it for I found it is not a good icecream brand.
I found that I lost my taste for ice cream when I acquired the taste for scotch.

Totally dependent on geography.
When I am in upstate New York a stop at a Stewart Shoppe for a choclate chip ice cream cone is combat critical task. When I am in rural New England or New York each major local dairy seems to have their own little seasonal ice cream shop which makes the best in the world....until I drive 6 miles down the road! The only place on the planet I will eat blueberry ice cream is a little stand on the northeast shore of Lake Winnipesaukee, NH.
For mass market, I am with Texas John....Blue Bell can't be beat.

for fancy-shmancy, Bourbon Steak here in DC has a 18-year Macallan pot-de-creme, with ice cream made from said scotch.I found that I lost my taste for ice cream when I acquired the taste for scotch.
given how i like both, it's a good winner, especially when paired WITH.
The human mind cannot grasp the causes of phenomena in the aggregate. But the need to find these causes is inherent in mans soul. And the human intellect, without investigating the multiplicity and complexity of the conditions of phenomena, any one of which taken separately may seem to be the cause, snatches at the first, the most intelligible approximation to a cause, and says: This is the cause!"

Years ago we could get a scoop of Thrifty ice cream for 15 cents. Add 10 cents and we could get a 2nd scoop. Another 10 cents would give us a 3rd scoop. 3 scoops of Thrifty ice cream for 35 cents was heaven when I was growing up in the OC. Thrifty is now owned by Rite Aid and the ice cream is $1.29; 3 scoops would cost $2.49.
Those were the days...
