    Code Breaking test

The code here Can you crack it? is apparently set by GCHQ (UK's modern day cyber intel base). If you crack it you are apparently offered an application form...

I haven't spent too long it but would suggest that answer is from 4-12 characters. I suspect it's actualy a picture... Not my forte and I don't want a job with them, but interesting.

For those more interested the sequences of 2 lots of 4 '41s' in a rows may be a start and the one sequences of 4 '42s' then there are 2 sequences of 3 '00s' but this suggests you must read the lines as a whole column as a book. There are other clues but I won't spoil your fun and show up my ignorance too much.

Eric unless you are into Code making and breaking you will never get anywhere near it. It's obviously looking at computer literates and above.

Hehehe! Here is the page you get for solving it: Can you crack it? By the way my initial diagnosis was completely wrong and you need a compiler to crack it.

IIRC GCHQ WW2 predecesors used crosswords in a similar way to recruit candidates.

To be fair,I've to say there's a limit even to computer literacy(which I don't have anyway,at least not to that level).Nobody could decipher what Tankie's saying.

I don't want their job but I found it quite an interesting puzzle. I'd agree though that £25k is pretty cheap for buying a nations security (IF that's what they are realy offering).
