EEWWW - this is one of the situations where if you were blind drink and woke up with that thing sleeping on your arm, it would require a length of primacord, and a blasting cap to extradite yourself (quietly wrap the cord around the aflicted arm, afix the cap and blow off the infected apendange, it may be wise to apply a tourniquet above the separation zone).
