Online forums

Hi everyone,

I am a graduating journalism student and I'm just researching the phenomenon of online forums and communities such as this...just interested in knowing from anyone why they go online to use forums and what they feel they get out of them? Do you think its a good way to communicate or just air your views on a prominent topic? I need as many people to reply if possible on the forum or at my email hollywoodjourno@hotmail.com
Thanks!

I come for fun. I like to debate and learn.

I think very higly of forums. Its not just a place to air your thoughts.Responsible forums are conductive to a lot of discussion. If there a mix of serious discussion and chilling out, then its a great place to be.In forum one can also meet lots of people who think your way and also many who think in the way opposite to yours.

You yourself can see it in the forum Protonriver-India Unlimited ,which is formed and moderated by young Indians and which grew in quality and quantity in a short span.
