So I have a question (actually it'll end up being a few probably) that hopefully some of the Canadians here will be able to answer.
I'm going to be heading to Whistler, BC next month (will be in Vancouver as well) and I'm a bit of a recreational fisherman (and outdoorsy type in general). For anyone who has visited the area/lives near-by, do you have any suggestions on fishing spots/hiking trails? I've looked through the standard tourism fare which push the guided versions for both (I didn't even think they'd have guided hiking tours that you have to pay for) that recommend Green and Alta Lake, but from what I can see on the google maps, they're pretty close to developed areas and would seem like they would be fairly busy with other tourists. Any suggestions on stream fishing/hidden lakes or hidden trails of interest? For reference I don't fly fish (although I've always wanted to learn) so I'll be using a spin cast.
Also, any suggestions on other stuff to do in Vancouver/Whistler?
Your help and suggestions are much appreciated!
