    I think I need a new name!

Well, after all this time I'm finally on my way back to my own country. It's been getting close to eight years since I've been a Canadian resident and I am quite excited.

I'm heading back next Wednesday and will be hanging around Vancouver catching up with friends before I head up to Yellowknife to continue in the mining industry.

The missus bagged a transfer within her company. They just last week flew her and I both up to Yellowknife all the way from Perth, West Australia for her medical and for me to have a look around. The sun never really went down up there, just got a dusky look and then daylight again. I imagine the winter is going to be opposite to that, and cold.

Feeling pretty lucky, they let us stay in Vancouver a few days just in time to watch the game and run around during the riot. I have some good pictures on my phone. What morons but I must admit it was a bit exciting.

On the way back they even paid for business class flights and would have for the trip there where it not such short notice. The stopover was Hong Kong so I had a day there too to have a look.

This week I'm packing in short notice and I get some time off from long stretches of work. I just finished a four week on one week off roster and the time to be in Van and enjoy myself was the fiance's idea and is very appreciated.

So to the point, I need a new name I'm not going to be an expat anymore for a few years at least!!

I couldn't help but notice those mosquito clouds. I didn't get bitten though which was nice.

    How about "Ex-Expat Canuck"?

Question is, does the mods here grant requests to change nicknames?

If so, I got dibs on "Necro Boy"

technical it is no problem, but we like to keep changes of username s to a minimum since it would get very confusing if we do it regulary. Which of course does not mean that single request won't be granted if there is a good reason (meaning, we are open to bribes).
    uh I might be wrong

Butter cookies, just in case you didn't quite get the hint
Meddle not in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup.

I changed my name years ago here. I think I first started posting here as Batman or something silly like that.

I like the idea of Ex-Expat Canuck because I can be Expat again later with no confusion.

    You could be Repat Canuck.
