My wife is getting a Boxing Day Christmas present. The bathroom in our master bedroom has sprung a leak ... and rotted out the studs and molded the drywall from behind ... which means ... that she's looking at new fixture, new sink, new tub/or stand up shower.

I should have kept my mouth shut. I told him if she tosses the "She Who Shalled NOT Be Named" CDs, she can have whatever fits in the bathroom. Didn't take her 10 seconds. Of course, she designing resutarants for a living gave her a leg up where to get the best bargins and she's already on the phone ... to her supplier's own homes.

Lucky thing we'll save on labour, her father, my father, my brother, and we're in the middle of tearing the thing out right now. And I will have their company for the week as we put this thing together.

She has one go at this. We've finished the demolition - took 2 hours ... and dust in the Master Bedroom - BUT I've got it all plasticed. I'm even prepared to repaint the bedroom just to match the new bathroom. Yes, I'm thinking ahead.

She got her notebook and photos all layed out and she's playing around with the arrangement right now.

She got until tonight while we finished off caping off the plumbing and moving the electricals out of the way.

Then, the women go back into town while we stay up here at the farm. She's got to have the design done by tonight.

#1 Daughter, however, is not too please that I will be sleeping in her bed.

I figure it would take the four of us 5 days with a couple of nights of drying.

Then, I'll know if I'm having sex next Saturday or sleeping in the dog house.
