Leaving for DC tomorrow (any one on the way?)

I'll be leaving for Arlington on Friday. After a two-day pit stop visiting relatives in Wisconsin, I'll be heading onward. Will be taking my time (from Sunday afternoon until Wednesday morning) so I was thinking if any members live along the way I could swing around for a visit.

    My route:

I-39 between Madison, WI and Bloomington, IL
I-74 between Bloomington, IL, and Indianapolis, IN
I-70 from Indianapolis through Dayton and Columbus, OH through the WV panhandle to the south Pittsburgh suburbs
I-79 from Washington, PA to Morganstown, WV
    I-68 through the Maryland panhandle
    I-70 to DC

I'll have internet access through Sunday, so if you're on the way and would like to visit the one and only, let me know!

Sounds like a fun trip. Be safe and enjoy. I'm just a tad out of your way to visit.

Well, I’m in Hong Kong so that pretty much rules me out…

I wonder if there's ever been a large group WAB meet-up somewhere? It'd be great and we'd all have lots of laughs. Just based on forum demographics, if it's happened before, it'd probably have been in the US and/or India.

Anyway, Hope you have fun Ironduke. Driving across states I'm sure is relaxing, fun and crazy! Take care!

    matt,

send along a PM when you get here!
The human mind cannot grasp the causes of phenomena in the aggregate. But the need to find these causes is inherent in man’s soul. And the human intellect, without investigating the multiplicity and complexity of the conditions of phenomena, any one of which taken separately may seem to be the cause, snatches at the first, the most intelligible approximation to a cause, and says: “This is the cause!"

*Avoid the belt way at 9 am and be far away by 3 pm. The traffic is murder.

I'll probably park at a Wal-Mart in the NoVA suburbs somewhere and sleep in my car Tuesday night before getting to the house I'll be staying at for a short while after rush hour Wednesday. Avoiding all rush hours is a priority, the reason I'm taking I-70 instead of I-80.

You should move in somewhere inside the belt, something like 1625 Pennsylvania, er something. That'd be funny.

Well, I arrived Tuesday afternoon. Staying in Rosslyn temporarily. Took the metro into DC yesterday and saw most of the major landmarks. Looking for something permanent at the moment.
