If we contrast the rapid progress of this mischievous discovery of gunpowder with the slow and laborious advances of reason, science, and the arts of peace, a philosopher, according to his temper, will laugh or weep at the folly of mankind. - Edward Gibbon

Let's give a moment of silence to all those 1000s of turkeys who gave their lives for this most delicious cause.

Well how about that. Went out to eat last night, ordered a turkey dinner. Finishing the rest on lunch break. All covered with ketchup, mounds and mounds and ketchup. Makes the turkey, dressing and potatoes edible. Oh yeah - Happy Thanksgiving.

KETCHUP ON TURKEY? Deb, I'm ashamed of you. Only Donald Duck puts Ketchup on everything.

Cream style Cranberry Sauce is what you should use, gravy on the dressing and potatoes, butter on the Sweet Potatoes (or Yams) all washed down with a Mellow Burgandy wine from the San Antonio winery in Los Angeles. And finally fresh Pumpkin or Apple pie for dessert.

Anyway, happy Thanksgiving to all my Canadian friends and relatives.

We tend to fry our turkey. I like cranberry along with some mint sauce if it's a stronger "turkey taste". Pumpkin pie.... apple pie... X_X You're making me crave!

Love all, trust a few, do wrong to none; be able for thine enemy rather in power than use; and keep thy friend under thine own life's key; be checked for silence, but never taxed for speech.

Little late, but I had a great Thanksgiving as well. My mom makes this amazing brussel sprout and bacon salad!!

On the subject of turkey, this summer I had barbecue Turkey for the first time, and I have to say... it is much better than when oven baked.
