I did have one of them (Royal Enfield 350 Intercepter) or more accurately, my father did and it is was the first motor bike I ever rode at about age 12.
It was about a 1950 model and made in England rather than the latter R/E's made in India.
When Dad finally sold it, one of the larger bike dealers in Adelaide paid a lot of money for it and it is now part of a motorcycle museum display.

Before my father was married, his best mate, my Uncle and Dad rode their motorcycles from home to Sydeney and return, a distance in excess of two thousand Km and on roads that by today's standards would have been Goat tracks.
First and last long trip for all of them.
Dad's best mate had an Ariel square 4 and my Uncle has a black Vincent HRD.
My Uncle has refused offers many times for the Vincent and although now in his eighties, still rides it occaisionally.

    Cheers.

    They still are, believe me.

Thing is, I have seen MANY drivers being cut out of burning cars, how often do you see that happen with a motorbike??

    1. 1975 Harley-Davidson sx250. It was an made for AMF-Harley bu aermacchi.
    2. 1976 yamaha 650-hauled me and my brother back and forth to school for 4 years. Wrecked it........twice.
    3. 1964 triumph bonneville cut and raked and slammed. Project bike, hardtail, really cool. wrecked it once, sold it.
    4. an 80 something Honda rebel(bad time in life, repressed memory)
    5. 1985 honda shadow 800. Good bike.
    6. 1989 Honda PC800. Very cool bike. Wrecked it bad-totalled. A car pulled out in front of me, I T-boned him and totalled out his car too. I was doing about 40 or 45. hit right in the frivers side door post, left the bike and flipped over the top of car, landed on my feet on the other side. Walked away with nothing but two small bruises on my arms where they hit the windshield of the bike.
    7. And the best yet, a 2005 Yamaha xvz-1300, royal star tour deluxe. (pictured).
