Enrollment rate of school age children reached 99.17% in Lhasa

High school enrolment rate reached 55.36%, and 98.12% of junior school. Moreover, illiteracy rate among the young Tibetans were below 1% by the end of 2007.
In the education conference held on April 22nd in Lhasa, the related departments had made a new plan, aiming to change the concept of education, improve teaching methods, and promote all-round developments of students. They planned to invest 10 million RMB for the school construction project in pastoral areas.
