My gunline peeves
And we measure azimuths. We don't shoot them.
As in "Gunny, since your on the circle, could you shoot me an Az to that peak." The Proper command to stop a continuous fire mission is "Cease Loading" not EoM or Cease Firing. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Normal civilian pet peeves: Workers who are late for work. Workers who think that I'm paying them to BS about the big game, the hunting trip, fishing, ect. Old people from up north that move to Florida and insist on driving 35 MPH ALL THE TIME. (before you complain, please note that I did not use the word "Damn Yankee") Fat ugly chicks that drive convertibles. Leave the ragtops for the babes. Obese people that think spandex, speedos or bikinis are appropriate attire. Last edited by Gun Grape : 04-01-2008 at 17:38 PM. |

This is bound to be a southern thing but I hate women, that are not married to me, that insist on calling me "Honey", "Darling"or "Sweatheart".
" Do you want sweet tea with that, Honey?" "I'll make a note of that, Sweetheart." This isn't some bad version of Mels Diner. We don't know each other,so don't refer to me by those names. And the worst offender works in the county building department. So, if I want things processed quickly and inspections to go off without a hitch, I'll just keep my mouth shut and live with it. ![]() |

By the second term of the military flying school a student from each course had to go to the Met Office and then come back to formally give a weather forecast. When my turn came I airily informed everyone that the light early mist would soon burn off and....
(sound of explosion!). The CFI had entered the room to listen and he roundly took me to task. In a loud voice he pointed out that water vapour was incombustible and so could not burn off! The correct term was that it would lift and disperse. My ears were red, and ever since I have used the correct term.

People who bite their nails loudly (like my fiance!), People (they DO exist) that yell things like 'Don't Go in there' or 'he's behind you!' in horror films at the cinema - people who are wealthy but don't work, Hooligans (especially the Dutch Oompa Loompas) and people who just can't help but look smug when you fail at something.
That's all for now, it won't do my blood pressure any good to try and think of more !

Lack of work ethics! Nothing pisses me off more at work than for me to bust my butt and get paid less then the slacker down the hall!
