Police are looking for a suspect they say stabbed a man simply for saying hello.
The incident unfolded at 12:30 p.m. Monday when a 30-year-old man boarded a TTC bus and reportedly said hello to another man sitting on the bus.
Police say the suspect became angry after he was acknowledged.
When the man left the bus at Bolingbroke Road near Lawrence Avenue West, he was followed out by a suspect and stabbed three times.
The man is in hospital recovering from non life-threatening injuries.
Investigators say they are looking for a suspect who is about 18 to 20 years old, 6'2" with a slim build.
He has short, dark braided hair and was wearing silver loop earrings with diamonds, a black toque, and a light brown coat that says "State Property" on the side. He was also wearing dark blue jeans and had a green bandana hanging from his rear left pocket. He was also carrying a black mesh bag on his back.
