Headed to DC next week; anybody want to meet for a beer?
Or three?
I'm going to be in Crystal City, Virginia, starting Tuesday night, and I've got Wednesday open as well. (I don't actually fly away until Friday morning, but I'm meeting some old linguist/AF buddies that I've known for 21 years on Thursday night.)I would REALLY like a handshake and a meet-up with our folk that are within reasonable distance to a common mid-point. Post it up here, AND send me a PM if you can spare the time and gas. (Lookin' right at ya, astralis.)

NOW then...maybe YOU can come THIS way. I miss T-Town, and I'd love to get a look at the house (although Southie sez the tenants are treating it very well). Most of all, I'd like to drop by the Branch and see the old colleagues, maybe drum up some bidness for my new office. (And by the way, if you're ever in need of Pred/GH/U-2 help, just say the word, and we'll lay on some ad-hox for ya. )In the meantime, let 'em all know I say 'Hey', and punch Luke in the arm, and tell him to return a dam' phone call every once in awhile. Kill 'em all, man. |

DAMMIT!!! Got stuck in Chicago, and if you're wondering WHY it was that I booked a 'northern' route in February, well, so am I. It wasn't intentional, and I didn't look to see that it was NOT like the Phoenix lay-over that got in later than I wanted (but which is still gonna beat me to DC
).I'll cool my heels here for another three hours and get on a max-booked flight that gets in @ 2230. Gawd help me; tomorrow is a work day, and I'll be getting up @ 0230 California time. CRAP!!! USO is kinda lame, too. Not as good as Denver's, but the people are just as sweet. LOVE MAH USO, MAN! ![]() |

Just had to pick Chicago to get stranded in didn't ya?Coulda' picked Minneapolis and hung out with Duke and Dale or Detroit and I would have come down and dragged your sorry butt back to the homestead here
.Could have stuffed you full of firehouse venison chili and Budweiser then put you on your flight.Would have been interesting to see if the plane's cabin air filtration system was up to the task .
