Cinematic Titanic - The Return of MST3K That's Not Rifftraxx

10 minutes into the first Cinematic Titanic so far.

I like it. Lots of potential. Sounds a little over-rehearsed, which is understandable for the initial one, but it's great to hear Joel and Trace and Frank and Mary Jo again.

I like. I would imagine other Misties would like as well.

...the hell?? Nearly all of the links are broken!

Wow...interesting project. VERY interesting.

Trace remains my favorite actor from the show, i.e. as Crow. I don't know if it'll be the same without him in character though.

I wonder what Mike Nelson, Kevin Murphy and Bill Corbett think about this venture. After all, this is obviously a direct competitor to Rifftraxx.

I dunno what they think, but the fans (myself included) think it's great. And there's a CT forum on the RT site.

I actually see little actual competition. Completely different niches, and ripe for cross-pollination. RT will continue to capitalize on the "movies recent and/or good enough that we couldn't afford the rights anyway" market and CT can run with the bad-bad-bad/old-old-old niche that MST always did.

A win-win from my point of view.
