Got to disagree. San Miguel, not SM light, is the best in the world. Red Horse ain't half bad either

No real beer drinker would ever touch "light beer" This is an all or nothing endeavor. Life is too short to drink crappy beer.

I heartily agree that the Phillipine version of San Miguel is much better than the Mexican version. Lots of my friends like Corona with a lime wedge but another friend of mine who used to be a bartender said it contained too much formaldahyde (damn, I wish this forum had a spell check that would download as advertised:( ).

In Japan, Asahi is a good beer. But the Asahi sold in America at Hibachi restaurants is American made (I think by Miller).

I hated the beers in Greece almost as much as their resin-based wine (could use it as a paint remover ).

German beers are good because the bartenders take about three minutes to allow the foam to settle correctly as so well described by Ray.:P

By the way, I have also tried Indian beer (Taj Mahal, New Dehli, etc.) as the shop next to our cabinet making shop were importers of the beer. As far as I'm concerned, it can stay in India.

The original Miller High Life in Milwaukee was a good beer but they have lost their touch and concentrate more on making fake foreign beers such as Dortmunder. I loved the original Dortmunder Dark beer from Germany, but you can't get it anymore (no true beer gardens left in California anymore).

Still, the best beer Milwaukee ever had was Gettleman. But I don't think they are even in business anymore.

If there is no Vodka available, I'll take a Budweiser (Regular, not Light).

Rusty, the Mozilla Firefox internet browser has built-in spell check capability.

It has a number of innovations that were copied onto Internet Explorer 7 too. It's alot more secure, and less resource intensive. Overall it's a far superior product to IE7:

Maybe i should explain , its called S/M light because it is low in calories ,and being a diabetic type 2 it suits me perfectly, and i must say i have a splendid Doctor , he told me to drink less beer ( too much sugar and calories ) and told me to drink whisky instead , what a guy , and of course his advice was taken .

3 schools of thought on this one Ray , the 1st being a 6 pack on a mans abdomen indicates he is not a serious drinker

A 6 pack is the normal form of transportation to the cave of your choice to consume at you leisure with your mates .

And the 3rd which i like the most , is , why are women born with 2 holes close together ???????? answer , so you can pick them up like 6 pack and take them home with you , after you have had a 6 pack or 3 for some carnival knowledge , i say carnival because after a 6 pack or 4 us guys tend to make clowns of ourselves in the horizontal refreshment establishments

Those can't be Indian brands. I have never even heard of them. Some Indian brands are quite good - Kingfisher (most popular), Pals, Golden Eagle, Sand Piper, etc...

Those would be some sick US brands masqurading as Indian beers.

    Cheers!...on the rocks!!

    There are good beers....

and then there are excellent brews.

From the UK I love Belhaven and XXXXXX (don't know who makes it; 3 pints and my legs didn't work!!!)

From Germany I prefer the helles in Bayern and Schwabia over the pils found throughout the rest of the country. I also enjoy weizen.

From Canada I like Molson Canadian, Sleemans Cream Ale and Amber, and Labatt (from the bottle!)

For US beers, I usually go for the microbreweries and enjoy a good wheat. Whenever I hita town I look on the internet and phone book for microbrewery. So far, Lawton, OK is about the only place where I was disappointed. My absolute favorite is a little place just west of FT Drum, NY called Sackett's Harbor Brewing CO ( Sackets Harbor Brewing Company ) The single finest establishment I have ever found.

KB, BTW, not sure where you are in Kansas, but if you get to Manhattan, try the Littel Apple Brewery...fantastic!!!
