I am also on record with this:

I really don't care about these results because it is no longer played for the fun of it.

There is too much of hype, crass commercialism, sponsorships resulting in turning this game into a hotbed of controversies so that more hook on and keep the tills ringing.

Imagine Woolmer's case. They still cannot decide what caused it. Creates curiosity and more people taking interest in these games.

Same thing with world football. Hooliganism and all sorts of shady stuff.

Dave,

Always watching in the wings.

Right, Big Brother?

Not really about izzat, it is just that I find the game no longer fun. Too much of hype and too much of commercialism and too much of put on rivalry like what you see amongst boxers for a World Championship!

Thats total BS!!! Kiwis needed like 6 runs off 1 ball to tie the match; They COULD have prevented a loss, but they were cheated out of it by not even being given a chance!

And it was legal? Only in Australia; no one else knew about it as the Aussies were the only team in the world to have bowled such a cheap delivery. Only after that match was the rule written in Aussie cricket aswell against bowling such cheap deliveries.

And of course the Indians are angels, not. Watch this video and see another looser.

YouTube - Gavaskar throws toys out of the pram! (Cricket)

The "spit the dummy" play India uses goes back to the 80s

Sooky sooky la la.
That doesn't even compare with the underarm delivery; all we see is another Indian batsman annoyed at the fact at being thrown out of the match by another umpire!

Quote:
Suni Gavaskar was given out when LBW plumb in front. He spat the dummy and pulled the not out batsman off the field in protest, shades of the 2007 series? take your bat and ball and have a sook in the rooms.

Freddie
The man believed he got an inside edge on that ball; I agree it was wrong for him to do what he did but there is a limit as to what a player can take, I guess that was enough for him. Sort of reminds me of Pakistan's incident when the umpires wrongly accused them of ball tampering simply because they were pounding England.

Fact: Australia does the same, but there is a fine line between offensive words(which Team India may also find highly offensive) and racist words. Aussies and South Africans have called far more offensive names to Inzy like "p*ki"; you think they are not offended by it? It is only a one way road?

Fact: The Indian team felt they had been hard done by, even after the ICC had acted in a legal and fair manner and threatened to pull out of the series. If this had not been legal, why is there no appeal to a higher authority?
Fact: There is an appeal, and respond to the "fairness" part of the hearing above.

A bunch of them got together at his place and watched the match.
Everybody shouted monkey monkey whenever symonds was on strike.
I asked why he said if we have to do the time might as well do the crime.
Victory!!!!

Well bolo, we aren't and will not do the time! As Bhajji has not done the crime! (btw, your friends are another story; not to get all personal here, but if one is accused of stooping low, then one should not actually go and stoop low!)

And as for the recent match, game well played by the Aussies, good sportsmanship, unlike the Sydney test. Australia's winning streak has ended, but being Australia, they might aswell just go on another one.

Yeah. You've got to admire the australians though. They went down fighting. Johnson's 50 was just beautiful cricket.

Pathan, RP Singh, Laxman and sehwag were awesome. And Kumble of course.
