Not quite sure how to take that remark What are you suggesting, that there is an element of discrimination?

Does it not swing both directions? Do you think that the Cricket Board should have had a "Judge" from all of the Cricketing Countries, instead of one from N.Zealand. ie. a panel of officials to oversee fair play, especially at World level?

Why are you getting so unsettled? Calm down, the racist element of cricket is almost all gone, in my opinion, it is not the same as it was 50 or 60 years ago. Sure, some of the oldies in cricket may still follow on from those old days; people like Darrell Hair; but a good deal of the racial element among teams is long gone in cricket. I don't think Aussie cricketers are racist, heck is that why they work with Indian stars and produce music albums (Brett Lee) with Indian singers? Lets not ruin a fine sport by terming it "racist".

And good show for the Aussie team; they gave us a pounding in the T20 match. Hopefully, we can make up in the ODI series.

Only few individuals may be racists, but not the team.
Aussies may be more arrogant, but not racists

I think, Australian palyers had pre-planned all these things,
remember Symonds gave a statement in press conference after T-20 match in Mumbai, Saying something is waiting for Indians when they tour Australia.

Any time we start with divergent races we have a prime opportunity to provide offence ...
Taunts and jeers are so old as to be an institution. If a foe is vulnerable to hubris ... they may be inclined to error. Childish, certainly ... but as witnessed in this blog, enormously entertaining .... Jolly good sport.

Aussie cricket fans are turning like British Soccer fans [] Just kidding...atleast the soccer fans fight amongst themselves not with the players. Seems like the invincible Australian team's fans have nightmares about Murali...funny..they stooped so low that they had to attack them ?

----------------------------------------------------------------
Colombo: Australian fans showed no let up in their hostility towards Muttiah Muralitharan and a group of fans threw an egg on the Sri Lankan spin wizard's face in Hobart.

"An egg was thrown at Muralitharan and it struck him," a top Sri Lankan cricket official said, adding the authorities were looking into the incident that happened last night.

The Sri Lankans are in Australia to play a tri-nation ODI series which also involves India.

The Island newspaper reported that Sri Lankan cricketers, including Muralitharan, were jeered and attacked by some local residents in Hobart when they were returning to their hotel after dinner last night.

"The Sri Lanka team management had then taken action to safely guide the players back to their hotel and the police arrived at the scene," the newspaper said.

The off spinner has had a history of hostility with the Australian spectators, who have jeered him on previous tours, forcing him to stop going Down Under for some time.

Muralitharan was no-balled by Aussie umpires and the bowler had to undergo laboratory tests to prove the legality of his bowling action.
