Uh, couldja prove yourself to be even more stupid or do you wanna keep talking and remove all doubt?

Tell the hundreds of employees at the auto plant that all the money goes overseas. They'll show you their fat pay stub and call you a moron.

Tell the American owned and operated dealership that all the money goes overseas. They'll point to the the local sports stadium the dealership just sponsored for a a couple millions dollars and call you a friggin' retard.

People never cease to amaze me with their pig-ignorant shortsightedness.
    Hear Hear!

This is true, I know hear in Ontario we have more than a few enormous Japanese and Korean auto-manufacturing plants, with many many employees. Not to mention that the parts are made in Canadian manufacturing plants, or are made in the US, and shipped to the Canadian plants.

Maybe if the American Motor companies didn't pay there employees 40 bucks an hour, than they could sell there product as cheap as the Asians do! Than people would buy them!

I work in a machine shop. And one of the things that I find kinda funny, is that down the road in another machine shop, where gun parts are machined. The entire gun is machined hear at this plant in Canada. The parts are then shipped across the border, not even two hours away, where it is assembled, just so that it can be stamped made in the USA

...So just just because it may say "made in the USA" does not mean that an American was payed to make it!

My supposed rice-burner Mitsubishi Eclipse was built in my home state of Illinois. And as Chris said, those Chevys are made in Canada.

Boeing, that most American of companies, has plants overseas in Italy, Japan, Sweden and France(!) making major components for the new 787 and with the decline of the dollar, Airbus is considering opening plants in the United States.

The whole "Buy USA" thing is a load of crap IMO.
You have one too? I drove one from 1990 to 2002. First generation Eclipse, 78% made in Normal, IL, USA.

My current Subaru is 100% Japanese.

CA highway patrol uses BMW motorcycles. My local PD uses Honda motorcycles.

Just about all Toyota Camrys are made in the USA these days. Hyundai just fired up a brand new factory in the midwest that's capable of making 100,000 cars a year.

I love those conservative talk show hosts who want to support America by buying a car from the Big 3 while ignoring the fact that most American brands are made in Canada or Mexico while most Japanese brands are made in the good ol' US of A.

I've had a 2nd gen Eclipse and now my 4th gen Eclipse. No particular reason either time for buying them really. Just sorta happened that way.
