I Have Returned

This thread is for anyone who has noticed that i haven't posted for about five months now.

A combination of being busy and general laziness, not mention the time devouring demon that is the Xbox 360 have kept me away from WAB for awhile, but I figured now is as good a time as any to show back and interject my opinions into things.

Welcome back !

And, I got my daughter an Xbox 360 for Christmas because she said she's tired of the PS2 & 3, and wanted something different.

What Xbox games, do you like the best?

You can't beat Assassin's Creed or Call of Duty 4, plus Halo 3 is always a good option.

Yep, she mentioned Assassin's Creed, and I'll have to check out this upcoming Fable 2. Thanks.

I highly recommend COD4, Halo 3 and the Orange Box. They've got flaws but overall well worth it.

Avoid Bioshock because although it is an atmospheric experience, it is plagued by gameplay idiocies (hmm, no need to look after yourself since respawning is free!) and what I think is little replay value.

Older games worth looking at include DiRT, Forza Motorsport 2 and of course Gears of War.

I gave up on Oblivion quite quickly due to it being pretty boring.

Very funny (and NSFW) reviews for some of these games are found here: The Escapist : Zero Punctuation

Ah...right now she's partial to her "need for speed" and of course, she's a golfer so she's got Tiger Woods also keeping her busy. I'll give her this list so she can pick a few more.
