Totally agree , when in my local river i was fishing for barble (edit , cheers shamus), a seriously good fighting fish ? and when i had inspected one or two i noticed they were growing extra little barbs ? reason being , all the anglers were using spam / chopped pork , ( processed meats ) to catch them and also as groundbait (chum )and the hormones that had been fed to the pigs were showing up in the food chain .

I eat raw salmon and tuna on a weekly basis. Just pour some lemon over it to speed up digestion, but further nothing. Especially raw tuna is delicious.

The Salmon are running. Time to hit the river and get a few before it is too late. Damned I miss the big runs of yester year.
