Heres the problem for the Canucks. If they get Sundin they can ditch Morrison. Problem is now that Sundin is not coming to twon, the Canucks have to offer Morrison something good to keep him, too many teams want him. With Sundin saying thanks but no thanks the Canucks now have a huge problem convincing Naslund to stick around as well.

Best case senario, the Canucks get the same team they had last year, worst case senario they lose both Naslund and Morrison.

Two new teams in the fold now: Tampa Bay and Chicago
Wow, thats definately a good move by the Pens. The got rid of a money hungry player and pick up a consistant scorer. They also resigned Malkin and Orpick so they look fairly good post cup run.

Goodness gracious, they lost naslund!!! He's gone to the big Apple baby, lets see if they can resign Jagr

I should've said they STOLE Naslund, 4 mill a year???!!!

Oh yeah, Pens are definately the team to beat in the east, again. They're even stronger now. I would've liked for Roberts to stay in Pittsburgh, but guess he wanted out.

Sundin is going to be playing in Canada or Detroit. But Detroit seems to be out of the picture with their signing of Hossa (they don't have wiggle room left)

...and Morrison will likely leave as well. Canucks management is reaping what they sowed and Gillis apparently is not well liked from his days as a player agent. Yes, I won't be looking for any cup hope in Vancouver, which is sad when I think of the 93 team coming within 1 game and 2 goals from hoisting the cup. Now they are just a farm team.

I hope he stays with Toronto, he deserves to retire with a Leafs jersey.

Exactly man. Sundin is a very smart guy; its his legacy we're talking about. Leafs have still kept all the defenceman, they just got rid of all our sloppy fowards lol I know Leafs management wants Sundin to go and win the cup with another team, but if Sundin wanted that, he would've left for Motown years ago.

Leaf management are treating the only good thing to have happened to the Leafs in the past 40 odd years in the typical Toronto manner....screw him. That's why any sporting team in Toronto is now the least desirable place to be for any sports athlete that expects an iota of respect and integrity. A terminal case of lethargy that seems to have rubbed off on all of Canada it feels so pervasive.....but that's a whole other comedy. I have absoloutly nothing to say cheers for...how sad. Guess I'd better go before I depress everybody.

Hey, you guys want to know something? I think this was the year the leafs didn't have to re build. If you looked at all the free agents they had this year, we could've signed a few, traded off a few of our players, waived a few, bought out a few and built a nice team to make a run at the cup. Instead, we lost everyone for peanuts, well not even peanuts, we lost everyone nad we're still OWING them money for the next 3 years

Rumour has it Burke is our guy next year and every move thats being made now is overlooked secretly by Burke. Well, to be honest, if thats the case, all is well in Leaf land. Exarecr, its the weekend, have a few half-dozen beers or more, we should relax and forget about the season, this year might even be worse than last, but look to the future

Burke n Wilson tandem makes me go crazy

ESPYS 2008

The Espy awards are July 20. After registering you can vote for your favorite sport player and teams. Of course, there is a vote for the best hockey player.

On a side note the Espy's are being sponsored by Hummer SUV. The ad at the top says the vehicle is 85% recyclable by model weight. Struck me as hilarious.
