Just read some post-game comments by Therrien and Crosby. Apparently the reason they're down 7 goals to nothing over two games is because Detroit grabs sticks and dives and the refs don't call it. What an embarrassing pair of post-game interviews. Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!

Amen. The men showed up to teach the boys how to play hockey. Pittsburgh needs a few sets of gonads to show up and play,(Roberts can't do it all alone), and please,no more whining. If Crosby shows any more tears his beard and upper hair growth might run!

Boring game. No wonder hockey is off in the ratings. Up and down, up and down, side to side....SHOOT THE PUCK ALREADY! I could barely keep my eyes open watching the Pens play looking exhausted from the 1st period. So much for changing the line up. A few fist a cuffs kept things interesting but naturally the producers cut away from the brawls to focus on kids in the stands eating ice cream. Maybe playing at home can at least get them a goal.

Annihilation

Pittsburgh dominated the east, Detroit dominated the west. And now we're seeing an annihilation by the hands of Detroit. Pittsburgh the highest scoring team, could not muster even 1 lousy goal in 2 games. Sheesh, I thought they would atleast make a contest out of this.

Hey, the Wings shot plenty.

Osgood should join the Canadian Olympic diving team after the season is over.

Can't. Touch. The. Goalie.

Even by accident.

And what about all the swipes at Franzen's head all game?

The Pens didn't play like babies, so they shouldn't cry like babies afterwards. It's the Stanley Cup finals, so man up.

Shots O G

I think I read that the Wings had 30 or so shots and the Pens around 20. That's a lot of time on the ice passing and passing. It just seemed like a slow game to me even tho the Wings bested the Pens handily. I think the Pens had almost 30 penalty or should I say frustration minutes. I am surprised the score wasn't higher. The Pens haven't lost a playoff game at home this year and I hope Wed is not the first. It's my birthday and a Pens win would be gift enough.

Just like all other players, the goalie should make an effort at not spinning wildly out of control and fall down after his glovehand was touched while being out of the crease.

I really like the New Rules hockey - even a good passing game to get around a clogged-up middle is fun to watch for me.

Much better than everyone hugging and pinching and obstructing all game - there was no momentum. You just had to dump, chase, and scrum in front of the goal. I'd rather see 20 good shots than 40 chippy ones.

Sure, I agree. Still - Can't. Touch. The. Goalie.

And fine, give the Pens all the penalty minutes you want - it doesn't seem to make much difference, does it?

Well, Osgood goes down like he gets stabbed. Hasek, on the other hand, when he dives he REALLY dives; he throws himself to the ice like he just got shot and lays like a dead man for a good few mins hehe

My favorite from Ozzie was when he used to knock the net off himself. I haven't seen enough games to know if he still does that.

Technically, goalie is fair game outside of his crease. He has to make a reasonable effort to stay up like any other skater when he's outside of his crease.
