Starting to lose interest in hockey already, hell it's almost June. Just dusted off my Jays T-shirts(that's enough laughing already)in the very small hopes of an appearance in the play-offs at least. They are supposed to have one of the strongest pitching staffs in the Majors but in true Toronto fashion one element of their game never...ever works in tandem with the other. When the pitching is buzzing, the hitting disappears. So naturally when the hitting shows up the pitching gives up 2 runs an inning. So as usual they will flutter around 500 like a lost butterfly and tease Jays fans with a sniff of the post season just long enough to totally crush us with mind numbing collapses that have become the norm in T.O. If your still not aggravated enough ,there is still the mighty Raptors to cheer about but i would rather eat liver all day and have my teeth pulled for fun then watch this sport.

Raptors I can't watch. Can't stand Bosh.

So you're also a baseball fan, ahhhh I gave up baseball long time ago. I will, however, watch the yankees vs the red sox; this is the only game I can watch, since baseball is very slow paced for me (alot of superstars on the team)

SO get ready Exarecr, it starts TOMORROW!!! I'm hyped. I actually cancelled plans to go to a party, so I can stay home and watch the game. UFC is also on, so i'm looking forward to that afterwards

Did you guys see the game where the Lakers came back from 20 down in the 3rd to beat the Spurs 89-85 in regulation?

Oh yeah, loved it. I knew they were toying with the spurs because kobe didn't even shoot till the 3rd quarter. He scored like 27 points in 2 quarters, thats MVP!

Yeah baby, last games of the year. Wish I could get excited about Basketball the way you guys do but I just can't. After watching bodies on skates collide at speed with the crash of flesh upon glass and wood...then on to the squeak of sneaker rubber on wooden floors...the smashing sound of the dribble(sounds like the ball forgot protection)and then 2 points and back to the other end for another2 Pt's, 3 if you hit a little bit out and well, you get my repetitive point. I agree,Basketball players are athletes. Hockey players are grunts. I rest my case.

Octopus Banned from Ice!

OMG, what a moron. Seems the commissioner has decided to ban the long tradition of Detroit fans throwing encephalpods aka- Octopus on the ice! He cited the fact that he didn't want to abolish the tradition per se, but felt it was a safety issue when the gunk from an Octopus gets stuck on the ice- it could cause someone to get hurt if their skate blade hit it or if a player got octopus goo in the eye.

Maybe they should take away the puck too? Hell, it's hockey where pushing and shoving is part of the game and injuries common. Seems like just yesterday I watched players with no helmets. Can't remember the players name who was the last to retire from wearing a helmet but I am thinking maybe it was a Pens player?

An octopus doesn't have a spine and neither does the commissioner.

Wanna bet you see some octupus' anyways?

Let's Go PENS....

He was booted out of the NBA,and we should boot him out now. He's done more to lose fan interest then any other element(s) combined. Bettman reminds me of a neckless, chinless looking mortician who has his arms permenantly locked in the straight down extended position when he walks.A really silly looking endeavour that almost makes the viewer suffer motion sickness. His questionable actions and decisions have brought the league into first place in only one area, that being media obscurity. Just watch the slimy projectiles rain from the heavens in Detroit because of Bettman's feeble attempt to end a tradition. He should be thankful twenty pound penguins aren't going to be splatting all over the place like so many juicy grapes when the teams get to the igloo(but who knows). Lets just play hockey because I'm so friggin bored! Detroit in six I say. Cheers.

Make it rain, octopus style!!

Pens vs Detroit, get ready for the fireworks people. Get ready for the crosby line to *clash* with the Draper line. Get ready for the Malkin line to *clash* with the Datschuk like. Get ready for Laraque *clashing* with Holmstrom. This is going to be sweet, I can't believe I didn't want the pens to make the finals. This is what its all about, the TWO BEST teams in the finals, and they all made it respectively; there was no cheap hits, knockouts and penalty calls that helped them make it this far.

I counter Exarecr, I say the Pens take it! Only because I dare not to dream what Pens line up will be like next year if they DON"T win the cup.

If Detroit wins, I have a feeling that'll be the last of Lidstrom, Chelios, Draper and McCarthy we'll see.

I think your right Mobbme, if the Pens lose this series look for an angry, revenge filled bunch of birds next season who will be quite capable of winning 3 or four Cups in a row with this much talent in place. Deep down I sense Detroit doesn't have a chance, but ya just never know. Hey, my Jays just jumped over the 500 mark....beating Kansas who's always had the Jays number.

Perfection on how to hold a lead. Pens were just a little awe struck tonight. This was pretty much one hell of a boring hockey game. Game 2 should be much better after everyone has a chance to wake up. Cheers.

Would that be the players or the audience that needs to stay awake? OMG--B O R I N G........Sad night for Pens with only a few shots on goal that I saw and none making the net. Doubly sad for the audience even if you are a Detroit fan. It's pretty bad when your just waiting for an octopus. Good thing I had the remote tonight. Let's Go Pens Really- let's go, like shoot the puck already.

Missed the game again (birthday party) but I was able to sneak a check of the score. Go Wings! Since I can actually watch Monday night's game I expect a loss - the only 2 playoff games I've been able to catch this year have both been losses for Detroit.

Well, the game was much closer than the scorecard; 4-0 doesn't do the pens justice. The game could've went either way. Look for this series to go a long way. The pens were itching for that first goal hehe, I can't wait till they finally do learn how to beat osgood, they're going to shower him with goals
