Hey Mobbme, just got back from the making of new compost(a somewhat idiotic relative past away)which required my presence if only to insure my cut of anything to cut up. Now I've got a huge amount of catch-up too do just to get my pool back on track. Also missed many hockey games because of the weird place he lived and no cable damn it. Pitts and Detroit for sure my friend, I just hope the Wings aren't to tired to carry on. Cheers

All psyched because my schedule finally allowed me to sit down and watch a Red Wings playoff game this year on Saturday.

And they barely showed up to play.

Sigh. Didn't they know I was watching?

Can't you watch it tonight. I do believe tonight's game should be a real brew-ha-ha. Again though, me thinks the Wings are starting to tire. I'm predicting a Dallas win tonight that will in all likely-hood spell the end of both teams as a young team in Pitts awaits the old boys. Being of mature vintage myself I have to pull for the original six team. Game on.

Nahh, I work nights. And they have all the streams and feeds locked down so all I can do is watch the primitive "live update" scoreboard. Which is better than nothing. As far as old team/young team you have to remember that this Red Wings teram is nothte same one as 4 years ago. Lots of young guys anchored by a few old timers.

I think they'll be fine tonight if they can just come out playing hard and stick to it.

Oh man, I could feel the pain! But WELCOME BACK my friend

I overslept Sunday and I missed like 3 games that were on at the same time. Pens raped Flyers, Boston Celtics advanced, and Russia shocked the mighty Canadians GRRRRRRrrrrrrrrr So in a way, I don't think I missed something I would've enjoyed; probably would've cried if I watched canada blow that lead

So am I. The time I liked the Red Wings was when Yzerman was captain, and Federov and Shanahan were assistant C's.

Hell, they were beaten by a hungrier team and a dumb rule. We can't win them all. As long as we show up and play hard I'm a happy camper. WE just have to lose that stupid rule. Time to go, games starting. Cheers

Strange game. Dallas never even tried it would seem. I thought it would be a good one and boy was I wrong. I agree though. Detroit in 6.

I think i'm on the other side of the fence here. Pens have 3 lines that are very very dangerous. If the "mule" comes back, then Detroit will have 3 lines as well, but who are we kidding? Pens have more fire power upfront. We'll just have to wait and see what happens, both teams have dominated, lets see who dominates who now

Game 1 Saturday in Detroit. Four days of over analyzing, over bearing sport broadcasting that will find substance and interesting tid-bits amongst thousands of useless stats that accomplishes little else than filling air time. Much like in baseball when the TV commentators boldly announce the approaching hitter hits home runs more often when he plays on Tuesdays under cloudy conditions when he finds gum stuck to the bottom of his cleats. No gum on my runners but I say Detroit in 6. Even though Ive been wrong many times this year I still do believe the Wings have a slight advantage with their experience over the excitable antics of youth in Pitts. Cheers.

Hhahahah, so true. And the funny part is, i'll still be flicking between the sports channels to hear the analysts!!! Theres like only 3 channels I flick through all the time: Sportsnet, Sportsdesk and The Score Hey, I believe you were right many times, well, you predicted the leafs to keep losing! I think most of my predictions this year were all wrong. And then i'd cheer for another team, who'd just happen to get eliminated the next few games. I think the safe bet for me now is to just sit and watch, and not cheer or hope for a team to win.

Did you see Draper,s goal that went in off his mouth! Yikes, that must have hurt like hell. As the puck mashed threw his lower lip it knocked out,or loosened 3 teeth so badly they will have to be removed. The puck then dropped down onto the goalie's back and in. The only creative play of the game. I will watch pretty much any sports channel just as long as it isn't connected in any way to the CBC. This station has become so nauseatingly politically correct it's embarrassing.

This pisses me off

Carter won't come to Toronto

Quote:
The agent for Jeff Carter said his client wants to remain with the Flyers but realizes there is not a guarantee that will happen. "We're going to make every effort to have Jeff stay in Philadelphia," agent Rick Curran said. "Prior to the draft I would expect we'll know what is likely to happen. Jeff has expressed an interest in staying in Philadelphia." Carter's situation is going to be watched closely in the coming weeks. The 23-year-old, who was coveted by the Maple Leafs just a few months ago, finished his third full season with the Flyers with 29 goals and 24 assists (both career highs), and recorded 11 points (six goals and five assists) in 17 playoff games.

So when is he going to decide to play for us? When he's way past his prime? Come on Jeff, Toronto is where its at!!!
