Avery has spleen removed last night. I never saw a hit or anything but something must have popped somewhere during the game. They will miss his pesky presence. Don't really care if Montreal wins or not. Hab fans are insufferable when they win.

Aren't we all?

I'm cheering for Montreal cause it'd be good for a Canadian team to win. They just care more than we do. (I'd add Detroit, Pittsburgh, and Philly to that list for the U.S. sides.)

Besides, I live in North Carolina, so I don't know any Habs fans.

Heh, guess he pulled a Forsberg.

Peter Forsberg collided with Bryan Smolinski of the Kings in the playoffs years ago. On the surface, Smolinski fell down awkwardly while Forsberg looked like he bounced off the hit. Later that night, Forsberg coughed up some blood and went to the hospital. He had his spleen removed at 4am.

I hate Les Habs.

I don't even know what a spleen is, what is it? It just sounds ewwy lol I think the common injury these hockey players get is the groin pull/tear. Or if scott stevens and wendell clarke were still paying, it would've been the concussion

Well, rangers are up 1-0, lets see how fast thhe Penguins catch up. If the pens win today, they'll be 8-0 in the post season

Looks like the Pens want to win it all on home ice. The effort just wasn't there tonight and now there is a hate growing between the two teams that will make the next game in Pitt's a must see. Looking bad for the Av's as they are down 1 zip in the 1st. Team Canada takes on Slovakia at 3.30 Friday afternoon in the World championship. Lots of parity now and the Russians look formidable this year. Team Canada has a 50-50 shot at it. Cheers.

1) Go Wings! 8 - 2, yowsa.

2) From the NHL.com story I read, Avery didn't have his spleen removed, it's just lacerated.

3) Go Wings! Swept the Avs, wa-HOO!

It was over as soon as they dropped the puck. Who would have thought this series would be so one sided. The Wings are wrecking my pool!

Dallas should rap it up tonight. The Sharks still look uninterested in playing period. If they decide to play with a little desperation maybe I'll watch the game tonight. The team Canada game at the Worlds in Halifax was rather boring this afternoon, but it's only the first round and they beat power house Slovenia(part of the old Yugoslavia?)4-1. Next game is Sunday I believe.Cheers.

Cheers.

Yeah, the Canadians were a bit too much for the Slovenians. The Slovenians looked like minors playing against superstars, oh wait, team canada players ARE superstars hmmmmm. The real test begins against Sweden, Russia and the US. Atleast we have a real canadian team to cheer for GO CANADA GO!!!

The Sharks were lucky last night. How often can you show up for a game in the last 10 minutes and manage to pull off a win. Even playing with mediocre desperation the Sharks looked awful.

Oh my lordy, I was like its 2-0 and Dallas NEVER EVER squanders a lead. I guess the sharks aren't ready to pack it up yet. Philli vs MTL, and it seems their last game was ages ago; I'm picking MTL for some odd reason.

Philli vs Pitts and Detroit Vs Dallas. Both are going to be really really exciting games. If dallas somehow takes lidstrom out of the equation, they'll definately win. They're going to have to bring all their heavy hitters whenever LIdstrom is out there. I expect Mike Richards and Joe Carter to destroy the Crosby line, or thats what i'm hoping will happen. I don't like philli, but I don't dislike them as much as Crosby and the Penguins, so GO FLYERS GO!

What about Franzen? The Mule is on fire, and if he can keep it up against Turco the Stars are going down. Detroit in 6.

Looks like we got a friendly wager going on, eh sir? I'm picking Dallas in 6 to counter your "wild guess"

You speak of the mule, I hope the mentioning of Brad Richards is enough to put the mule back into hiding -just like the regular season
