However, those Flames are going to decrease my life expectancy if they don't start bearing down. A missed opportunity to go up 3-1 lost in part to players to absorbed studying their profiles on the safety- glass reflections as they launched an overwhelming attack which produced a whopping 12 shots on goal. Not only was it the manner in which Calgary gave up the ship with 7 seconds left that will probably be remembered as the point the Sharks took over the series. It was also the flick of the switch wake up call for Thornton that was missing all those play-off years ago....which unfortunately for Calgary, chose these play-offs to finally emerge. Thornton's actions have reminded me with stunning audio clarity that hormone ravaged teenage boys do not take defeat well. Looking forward to their next game though, cause baby,if they don't show up for this one...it's all over. Ovey looked horrible in Philly(as did the whole team)and I think they need a season or two before they can contend. Still think it,s going to be Rangers vs the Ducks(who finally woke up)in the final(Im sure the Pens have other plans me thinks). Well, time to put the stats up in our hockey pool, cheers.
Hahahha feels like a new beginning - with the senators out!!! I feel proud being a leaf fan, even though we didn't make the playoffs Hey, did you see the hits on Marleau in game 2 or 3? First by Phaneuf, then by Sarich LOL and Marleau just got up and skated back to his bench, not even a bit angry. I hope they target Thornton now, he sure is playing his best. And yes, Pens have other plans, they are playing unbelievably great hockey, they just beat the beast in the east. And they're not solely relying on Malkin or Crosby, everyone has stepped up. I like the rangers though, gomez and drury are showing up, but the MVP has been Avery so far, he's crazy LOL.. I can't believe the things he's doing, I think its great; too bad they'll penalize him now, which sucks, it was soooo entertaining

That picture of Marleau, blood, sweat and grime dripping from his face is classic hockey poster material. Don cherry was going gaga over it. Speaking of gaga, ya gotta laugh at Avery. The dudes an entertainer of the highest calibre and lets face it, he can play. My 11 year old nephew is winning the pool followed by the 3 women.....the shame....oh the shame. Lets not forget, they picked according to colour schemes so science has another enigma to decipher it would seem.

With all the satellite and cable available to you I can't believe there are no games on. Even the CBC on the Internet shows the games I believe. You sure are missing some good ones and you have my sympathies.

I only have basic cable. The games are on Versus, which is a digital channel. I refuse to pay more for cable.

As you replied my cable bill came in so check this out.

Total Pack.
High speed Internet and basic secured cable- $42.95
Movie & Specialty channels - $63.99
Sports Pack -$29.99
Taxes -$15.00

Almost $150 a month, though I don't have to pay it if I don't want to watch, these ridiculous prices are a direct result of no competition and greedy operators who know it. Trying hard to feel sorry for myself but it's not working.

A tip, but I think it'll only work for me and Exarecr:

Go to your cable box on the side of your house/apartment complex, and open your box, and there will be a filter in there, remove it and you will get all the channels. IF the cable company ever finds out, you say "I don't know what you're talking about, but you're free to fix my cable"

This site is also good, not sure if you'd want to watch it on the net, but only plays a few NHL games a day:

Because I have an old series Motorola digital receiver from cablenet, apparent there is a different crystal inside from the current receivers they rent out so I get all the Hockey and baseball ect, ect, free. They keep sending friendly "reminders" to switch to a newer more efficient model but ya just know I can't be bothered to swap......Duh.

haha sweeeeeeeet Yeah my cuzion came over because my pops did not want to pay extra for enhanced cable, so he opend the box, unscrewed the filter, and blam all the channels worked. We have satellite now, so I use that if games are not on T.V, but the playoffs are on basic cable television, we are in hockey country

Tonight the Boston -Habs game should be the best to watch. Like an animal backed into the corner the Bruins should be playing pissed. Yeeha, it should be a real barn burner. The late game with Calgary should also entertain. Be interesting to see how Ovey does tonight, but I think its all over for the Caps.

Heh, maybe. The washington capitals look like amateurs out there, but they do have flashes of greatness: Ovechkin, Semin and Federov. I'll be watching the capitals game tonight, hoping they get the win so they're still in the series. Capitals vs Pittsburgh will just be wild, but who are we kidding? So will the Flyers vs Penguins match up, so its ok I guess, LONG LIVE THE PLAYOFFS!
