I have a question for you long time hockey fans. How good is Scott Niedermeyer? He looks very slick and is hard to get by. His biggest weakness that I can see is lack of a quick slapshot. He runs the power play but hardly ever fires the puck other than wristers and almost never hits the 1 timer. Schneider on the other hand has the most intimidating 1 timer I've ever seen from the point. It's quick and it's hard. But then again he's not as slick with the puck as Scotty is.

Pronger is just out there to hurt someone.

Heh, Drury's going to light it up. Everyone is predicting that, good pics man. You got all the superstars; how many of you guys are playing?

Hmmm, let me put it this way: the two games that Pronger was suspended for during their stanley cup run, Niedermeyer and the ducks won em. I know burke-was-erked but the ducks still pulled through. I don't see the Ducks winning a series against the elite in the west without Niedermeyer; thats how good of a player he is.

Makes me look like a genius eh! Actually, there are 15 in our pool who each can pick any 10 players you wish(no goalies). A point per assist and goal. Simple yet very hard because everyone pretty much picks the best anyway so the strategy is different then most pools.

15 wow, the last pool I was involved in only had 8 players But yeah, those are beautiful picks now because you need an assist and goal for a point.

So which game are you going to watch today? Jersey-Rangers or Pitts-Ott? Or both by flipping back and forth? I'm probably going to keep my eye on both of them, will only keep the channel set when theres a powerplay.

Here's one for ya. My wife is in the pool and she, along with 2 other female co-workers based there team selection on the pattern of colour on the uniforms. She did this 2 years ago and came in second place in the pool!

hahahah thats so cute, or shall I say they added some "girl flavour" to it I think there was a movie or a t.v show, where a girl had to pick players for a pool too, she ended up picking the players who she thought were the "best looking" lol and she ended up 2nd or 1st place as well

Ottawa got spanked Malkin to the rescue, I wonder when Crosby will show up I bet all the "injured" senators will be in the line up for game 2, guaranteed. I watched a bit of the avalanche game, and boy do they remind me of the old avalanche team. And guess who scores the O.T winner? Sakic, as usual.

Now I sit patiently, awaiting the arrival of Ovechkin

Oh yeah, if you look back I said Iginla was a powerhouse, and he's unstoppable; I think he proved my point last night

Niedermeyer and the Ducks lost to Pronger and the Oilers 2 years ago. That was the main reason for Burke to add Pronger to the team. Can't beat him? Have him join you

I hope the Bruins can take at least one from the Habs....kind of a moral victory!

heheh nice one

That oilers team had the hockey god's behind them. I think that was Pronger's best year ever.

P.S wasn't that his last year on contract aswell?

If you're talking about goals, they already got one.
