AWRIGHT, Crazy Time is OVER! You people got nothin' better to do?

HEY, I just got back from Beale. I went up on a handshake tour of the GS-12 position. Lots of arcane bureaucratic rules and such about meeting the future boss (it's prohibited) and what-not, but we all managed to stay legal.

Looks good; not as much fun as man-hunting, but it does put me back in The Game. Also, I ran into two guys that I'd known years ago: one from the Defence Language Institute 21 years ago ( !!! ), and another guy from NSA, seven years ago. First one is retired (like me), now a guvvie (as I think I will eventually be). The other is a Tech Sergeant; he was a Senior Airman on my Flight when we were at Ft Meade.

So, if I take it, I'll be Chief of Analysis and Fusion, working with U-2/RC-135/Predator/Global Hawk/other UAVs and their products. These guys are doing some new and exciting things with their platforms, and they're breaking new ground on collaboration, battlefield prep, ISR, and some stuff that is cool but HARD to do, and it's still VERY new and you won't find any mention of it in open source.

AND - this part is HUGE! - it's NOT a 90-mile commute; it's only 60! w00t!

So, depending on the bux difference between Contract Guy and Guvvie Guy, I'll make a decision soon.

Oh, and for glyn and TopHatter and all us other wing-nuts, I got to see a U-2 doing pattern work. Purty cool.

I'm SO sorry! I didn't realize I put in the 'maddie'; it shoulda been a 'smilie'.

Like that one.

I took it all VERY lightly, just like I know y'all meant it. It's all good.

Carry on with Crazy Time, ya nuts!

Of course not!

Good! Choose wisely! Whichever you pick, you'll get to know Marysville.

The U-2 at Beale is mentioned in this book, which can be downloaded in its entirety.

I wonder if NASA has other books that can be downloaded?
