BTW... I am willing to deliver Dale's cookies personally upon the 5000 post marker... if for any other reason to save on transport costs ($5 vs. $0.50 in gas, 5-6 miles).

I could probably even ride my bike to Dale's house to eliminate the gas costs, and instead be fueled purely by butter cookies alone.

I'd like to hear from Snipe sometime about setting the world record for speed traveled by butter cookies in an automobile.

Perhaps Bluesman could provide the first butter cookie in history enjoyed by an alligator (it may have to be buried in raw meat first).

I am not aware if butter cookies have traveled to the North Pole yet, but perhaps the good Colonel may know of somebody willing to bring a tin up there to set a record for the first tin enjoyed at the North Pole.

And sappersgt... maybe someday he could see to it personally to set a record for the first Bushman to have enjoyed butter cookies, through his contacts in southern Africa.

I wish I could deliver them personally to Ray, but the costs would easily be in excess of 1000 to 1 when compared to dale. I would like it though if he could eventually send a tin to be enjoyed at the top of Mount Everest by a friend or acquaintance, within two degrees of separation

I hope that most butter cookies have been received and enjoyed by now... some international shipments may yet be in the system at a week and a half... there was some delay in shipping due to an unexpected overdraft and a tight financial situation semester-end on my part.

And if anybody knows any VIP figures in the world, whether in business, government, or military, perhaps we could see to it that these figures will some day enjoy WAB butter cookies.

I got mine!

They came to my place while I was up in Connecticut, doin' the Christmas thang with the in-laws. A helluva nice time, and something very nice to come home to.

Thanks, Ironduke!

On behalf of the staff who helped make this possible, I extend my thanks to you for your contributions to the forum. I would still like to hear of the first alligator in history to have enjoyed a butter cookie, however

Reminds me of the time I broke the filter off a cigarette, put it in a clump of grass and fed it to a goat in the common pasture in Vledderveen, Holland... thankfully it didn't die but it did start tweaking out after 15 minutes. I think alligators would react alot more favorably to butter cookies than goats to tobacco.

Yay...I got mine today!

The doorbell rang just when I was cooking dinner (thai green chili with prawns if you must know ) and the postman handed over the package.
I opened it and couldn't resist the tasting a few...had four cookies before diner.

Thanks Chris, Iron, Tops and mods for the gift!

Sure did; nice touch.

Ya know, I'm as proud as Lucifer over that whole deal. I started off mad as hell, and in trying to prove a point, I've made a piece of WAB-lore. I am just as pleased as I can be that our new guys are all like, "What th' HELL is up wit' da butter cookies, yo?" It's like some Masonic secret now: you can't be all aboard the WAB 'til ya down wit' dem ole butter cookies.

My point then and still is VERY SIMPLE: don't let's screw this place up. A bunch of us found our way in here from a forum we used to like a whole bunch, and it managed to shred itself. One day, we tried to log in, and we had a 'through the looking glass' moment. Seriously, it was disorienting. Notice my join-up date is a day later than dalem's. That's because I wasn't sure I wanted anything to do with anymore message boards. My old home was gone; dalem had to talk me into givin' this place a try, and it took a week of reading before I posted my first time.

Be jealous of this place, guys. Treat it like your Mom's living room; not everybody is welcome, and as the eldest son, YOU are in charge of throwing the encyclopedia salesmen, prosyletizers, yobbos and louts out the door and down the steps. You guys ever notice I'm only a little nicer to n00bs than I am to terrorists, drug dealers and child molesters? It's because I want to take their measure, and if I get a whiff of jack-ass, I call it WAY faster than I would if I know the guy. Also...I want to see how they handle it when I chaw up their skivvies. Heh.

I'm not a mod; I don't care to be one, because I can't promise the dedication it takes to do it RIGHT. But I still see my role here as part-time junkyard dawg, because this place can go 'poof' at anytime, if we let it.

Stay in the game, and don't let anybody track mud all over Mom's carpet.

Nowadays whenever I'm grocery shoppin, I just have to pick these up!

Have them with Chai (tea). Nothing like cookies and chai.

And if you want to make tea in America (boy do you guys have some lame tea! as good as your coffee is, tea is that bad), goto one of those Pakistani stores where you get halal meat n all and ask them for Lipton Yellow Label, loose tea (tea bags are useless).

The only other that was some what ok, was English Tetley, but Lipton's the way to go.
