For example, not too long ago, the word saltwater would appear as sal****er because of a censored word in the middle.

A bit of adjustment to the censor and saltwater can now be typed.

    Not unlike clitoris.
Wow ! Hip hip hurrah !

Whats with all WABers and Islam?

I think Islamic terrorism has totally freaked out most Europeans and the Americans, beyond what it should.

Why does 'Islam' come into a topic like this?
Why are Americans and Europeans so agaisnt Islam?

If a religious practice is present, then so be it.
And if someone doesnt like a paticular religous practice, then the person can quit the religion.

Why do you have to mock them all the time?

India and Indians too have borne the brunt of Islamic terrorism for long and have lost many people due to this, but we do realise that Islam is being used as a tool of propaganda here, and the religion is not at fault here, but only a few people.

Dont condemn the religion or its religious practices, its not in good taste to do the same.

Draconion, yours is a most unfortunate post that is unlikely to bring out the best in WAB members. It shows your lack of thought and immaturity. Perhaps you should delete it, and write again after due reflection.

    Draco..

Qur’an 2:216 “Jihad (holy fighting in Allah’s Cause) is ordained for you (Muslims), though you dislike it. But it is possible that you dislike a thing which is good for you, and like a thing which is bad for you. But Allah knows, and you know not.”

Qur’an 8:67 “It is not fitting for any prophet to have prisoners until he has made a great slaughter in the land.”

With a billion people following the above creedo, think there will be peace? Orgasms won't help really. When we look at world peace, consider terror. Do you think it emanates from the Koran and Islams teachings and Mohammeds life? There's tremendous evidence that acts of terror find doctrinal incorporation in Islam. However that does not mean or imply that every muslim is bad or a terrorist. But if we have to talk peace, we have to consider the causes that prevent it from being achieved. No point being naive. You and me don't stand a chance if we are that.

When we say "world Peace" which world?

Humans don't want peace. Never have. What humans want is out and out tribal warfare. What most want is to be part of the winning tribe and preferably without doing any of the fighting.

Some within the tribe want to fight, love confrontation and will view most political situations as a sport to be won and, if needs be, they will commit the fouls needed if they can't win through the rules. They manifest themselves as "hawks" in politically correct terminology. Most "doves" are comfortable in being doves as long as there are some hawks around - just in case.

This is demonstrated in all facets of human life, from family, through work, to government and international coalitions.

We, humans, want confrontation and we want to win.

We delude ourselves with happy phrases as "peace for 40 years", when there was no such thing. We say "cold war" and conveniently forget the very hot proxy wars fought over the globe. We even have had trotted out recently "the first war of the 21st century" for Iraq. Utter rubbish.

We could never attain a state of world peace because we can never be happy with our lot. We want more - more land, more food, more possessions more whatever. But we only have finite resources. If we find more resources the pressure relents, but it always comes back.

We are still hunter gatherers, we just do it on a planetary scale.

Oh and S****horpe, North East England. Silly censor.

    Ignorance.

Many Americans have gone through life with little to no contact with religions other than the "normal American mainstream" religions which are mostly the Christian religions. Take a walk through an upper class WASP, or predominantly DINK negihborhood and knock door to door. Most will not be able to tell you much about anything other than Jesus (except for the few recent "token Budhists", thank you Richard Gere ).

So then something like September 11th occurs and all of a sudden, all over the news are terms like "Islam", "Allah", "Jihad" and "Terrorist". It is near impossible for someone who has never really heard these terms to not associate them with something bad in this instance.

Things that we are ignorant about tend to freak us out or cause us to be afraid of them. Sad, I know.
