    Colonel

I was wondering, how familiar are you with people in Northern Minnesota?

    My apologies with late reply.

Nice fishing and great guides who tell you the best fishing ponds around.

What part of Ontario do you live in, btw? I live about 40 miles south of the BWCA/Voyageurs.

    Happy New Year Colonel.

We are also celebrating it in a big way. There are much write up about it in our news papers

One of our best restaurants which specialises in the cuisine have a lavish menu, which symbolizes good luck and health. The Harvest Rolls bring in luck for gold, Jumbo Pomfret in Spicy Honey Sauce promises abundance, the Braised Noodles Chilli Garlic promises long life and after all, to make you feel like an Emperor, there are Jumbo Prawns with Roasted Chilli And Wild Pepper, Lobsters, Crab Claws in Exotic Wine Sauce, Sizzling Duck, Buddhist Claypot, Chinese Rain Drop Soup and a host of others. Coconut Rolls in Honey Butter Sauce is highly recommended for the sweet tooth.

We wish you were here to celebrate. Notwithstanding, have a jolly nice New Year.

"Some have learnt many Tricks of sly Evasion, Instead of Truth they use Equivocation, And eke it out with mental Reservation, Which is to good Men an Abomination."

I don't have to attend every argument I'm invited to.

    Sir,

I've spent the New Year in bed, recovering from being frozen. It's been snowing and freezing (35 cms of snow in the past two week and average temp of -25C with a windchill of -37C). Ain't fun shovelling out the snow to goto work and then having the car frozen when you leave the office.

All I had was Chicken Noodle Soup while my parents took my wife and daughter to all those delicious parties. One nice thing was that I was not allowed near Number One Daughter less she catches what I got - case of being stupid.

You know, even being sick doesn't stop my neices from demanding their red bombs. And Christmas was just over. This is going to get expensive.

    Ummm, what's a red bomb?
Meddle not in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup.

I'm guessing it's a cherry bomb..... could be any kind of fireworks dropped in a tube with the fuse over the side.... that is, of course, if it is a firework.

    No, it's Lucky Money.

Chinese tradition to all married couples are supposed to give away some monetary bills in small red envelops (something like a Christmas/Birthday gift thing).

Stpuid thing is that my baby sister is adopted and ain't ethnically Chinese and neither are my neices but they do speak the language. My wife is a blonde which means that all the red bombs come out of my wallet.

Since Canada doesn't have a $1 or a $2 bills anymore, the smallest amount is $5 and it's getting pretty expensive.

Is there a shortage of American money in your part of Canada? Call George Washington to the rescue once more. :dbanana
