How is Seattle not listed? I used to live there, and grew up a ride out of Fauntleroy away. BEAUTIFUL city. Stunning. Everything you could ever want in a city, atleast for me. You also have the Cascade and Olympics mountain ranges on both sides of you. Certainly better than some third world city like Cairo ^_^

One vote for Sevilla

Sevilla, Spain isn't on the list, so I choose to make it as a "write-in" vote.

Sevilla is beautiful. The tower by the river, the Giralda, the palaces, the convents, the churches, the streets...I can go on and on.

I have appreciated many of the cities that have been mentioned and many of them do have their charms, but I feel that any list of most beautiful cities must include Hong Kong.
....and by the way, Beijing is a filthy sh@#hole and deserves to be up for least beautiful cities, not on here.

Hong Kong is spectacular (when the humidity lets you see it ) Vancouver also impressed me (especially Gastown) Paris is wonderful (who said it was too good for the French?) but what about Rome, the Eternal City?

Slums of Mumbia anyone?

I'd prefer Shillong, the capital of the state in which the rainest place is present in the world.(Mawsymram)

It was known is 'Scotland of the East' for its beauty.
The Brits used to come here for thier vacatoins during the Raj era.

lol - never heard of the "Scotland of the East". If it rains as much as you say, it probably deserves the title

EDIT: Bloody Hell!! It does look like the Highlands and very pretty place to boot!

Of course!

But it was named 'Scotland of the East' by the Brits.

Its got rolling hills, cold climate, and rains through out the year!!!

There are times, when it rains for 7-8days.

Sometimes a drizzle, sometimes cats and dogs and whatnot...

Yes, Banff is nice and it was an experience to bathe in the hot springs with banked ice and snow all around, but Europeans and others would not consider it to be a city. To them a city has a large population, supports all means of transportation and is usually of considerable age and history with buildings from many eras.
