Everybody so far sucks at web design. Nobody employs designers and train them in html etc, instead they employ webheads with no design abilities. One day our time will come.

@THL:
Overe here you would not even allowed to work so long. 6 weeks before and 8 weeks after the (assumed) birth date you must not work. (nor has your company the right to fire you because of this). In case of any problems during the pregnancy (like early labour), that time can be doubled (in both direction). In case the woman WANTS to work she can do that, but requires a clearance from her doc. After giving birth you (or the father) can take off up to 14 month of work while getting paid up to 67% of your netto income in that time. (You can also switch in that time, 6 month for you 8 month for the father for example). After that you (or the father) can stay at home until the kid is 3 years old without losing you job (but you are not paid in that time by the company). At the Age of three Children here usually start going to the Kindergarten, so you could at least start working half time (and you have a right to change your former fulltime job into a half time one). And all that does not even include money from the state you can get to support the child, or other free services.

My Dearest StudMuffin, bears are incapable of using a cell phone. It's that dexterity thing. Although they could chew one, step on it or throw it, but I doubt that they could take a photo or call a family member ![]()

Just had a call couple of hours back. Seems that one of my childhood friends died 2 days ago in an accident . He was one of my best friends in school. When he was 14 he lost his leg in an accident - he was holding a aluminum foil fibre (chaff , the stuff the aircraft throw to jam the radars, plenty of those were around) , when wind carried the other end to high-volt. power line. His leg burned off, he had something like 60% of skin replaced , but he survived thanks to his then-12 year old brother who kept heart-massaging him till the medics came. He then spent 6 months in intensive care but came out of it and later became an para-athlete and graduated school in architecture. He was quite a fellow . RIP, Janno .I will miss you.
