Snake Caught in Spider's Web Photographs

Every house here has redbacks, mostly they don't bother you, but having said that, you piss one off and you've got a fight on your hands.

We also have the "mouse spider", it grows up to 3.5cm and is soften mistaken for a funnel web. A few years ago, just out of Sydney, an infestation of mouse spiders evacuated a few houses for a few weeks as thousands, yes, thousands of mouse spiders came out of the ground after four days of heavy rain. They were looking for somewhere dry and thought the houses were perfect, a view not shared by the house owners.

Sydney University moved into the houses and did exhaustive tests on the back yards and found a huge underground colony, never seen before.

And you wonder why I dislike Sydney??

Freddie, suddenly itchy.
Ewww!!! I know the feeling of being itchy. Cleaned my lanai yesterday, sweeping cobwebs off the ceiling. Kept getting the feeling that something was crawling on me! Luckily didn't find any black widow spiders this time!

No pool! And I'm always being corrected because I call it the "patio"! What's wrong with that?

A foreclosure, this property was priced $80k lower than a smaller house on the same block. There were two offers the first day, one all cash. It's getting harder.

You really are trying to kill me aren't you?

Saturday, Mackenzie and I took the puppy in to get shots. There was a lady there with three kids, two were girls about Kenzie's age, so they were running around playing. I noticed that the girls kept referring to Mackenzie as something other than her name, but I could not catch what it was. Since they were all pretending to be kittens at the time, I figured that it was her kitten name.

A short while later, the mother was talking to Mackenzie and referred to her as "Elizabeth". Then I knew what had happened.

I looked at Mackenzie and asked her if she told them her name was Elizabeth. Of course the answer was "yes". She has been asking if I would change her name to this for a few months now, so I guess since I decided that I would not do it, she was going to take it upon herself to start telling people her name is Elizabeth.

The first thing I thought of was this song by Faith Hill and then I thought you are going to have your hands full with that one. She seems very spunky and wonderful.

"Wild One"

They said change your clothes, She said no I won't
They said comb your hair, She said some kids don't
And her parents dreams went up in smoke

They said you can't leave, She said yes I will
They said don't see him, She said his name is Bill
She's on a roll and it's all uphill

She's a wild one, With an angel's face
She's a woman-child, In a state of grace
When she was 3 years old on her daddy's knee
He said you can be anything you want to be
She's a wild one, Runnin' free

She loves Rock and Roll, They said it's Satan's tongue
She thinks they're too old, They think she's too young
And the battle lines are clearly drawn

She's a wild one, With an angel's face
She's a woman-child, In a state of grace
When she was 3 years old on her daddy's knee
He said you can be anything you want to be
She's a wild one, Runnin' free

She has future plans and dreams at night
When they tell her life is hard she says that's alright

She's a wild one, With an angel's face
She's a woman-child, In a state of grace
When she was 3 years old on her daddy's knee
He said you can be anything you want to be
She's a wild one, Runnin' free

Well, I think I opened up a can of worms. For all students that withdraw for the GED program, there is an exit interview letter that needs to be done. It is supposed to be done by the Guidance Counselors, but was handed down to our Student Intervention Specialist. Well, the ball got dropped, and it has been handed down even further to ME! Over 100 letters to make up for the students that didn't fill out one when they left. And they need to be updated in the computer. I had to get special permission for the Exit Interview icon so I can do the updating.

Well, the updating part isn't a problem, because that's my job - Data Entry! However, I can't exactly update information that I don't know, because the counselors didn't do their part, because they didn't want to and because the department head is "too overwhelmed" as I'm told many times! Too overwhelmed? Let's see, there are close to 3000 students that I'm responsible for updating information for and 6 counselors that split up the students alphabetically.

So anyway, tomorrow we are going to have a meeting, after I brought this little bit of information to the principals attention. Hopefully they will be doing their job and I in turn can do mine! I can already hear the department head moaning and groaning about how "overwhelmed" they already are!!!

Ok, done venting!!

Two weeks till I get married - I am as the working class Corkonian would say 'Bricking it' !

Seriously, I had no idea I'd be so frightened by the prospect of putting my commitment, to a truly spectacular woman, down on paper .
