Lukins has his feet planted right where they need to be Glyn. There is not any danger of him sliding, jumping or falling.

This week was "Secretary's Week" or "Administrative Professional's Week" and the staff couldn't have treated us better than they did! We got candy (which I shared with my student assistants), flowers, were served lunch yesterday and taken to lunch at Olive Garden today, along with being given a gift card for Olive Garden. The fun part was having the Assistant Principals cover everybody's offices. And of course we had to make a couple of calls to see if they could really handle the jobs before them. They did ok!

The new town signs are up - you know the ones - name of town along with population. We have grown from 594 to just a little under 640.

Thanks for you kind words, That speech by Ataturk would have to be one of the most consoling speeches spoken by a countries leader toward a foreign invader, and for that I, personally thank Ataturk and the people of Turkey for their compassion.

My grandfather was one of the diggers who landed there on day 2 of the campaign. I remember him telling me that the Turks were an honorable soldier. Again thank you.

Tax on fuel

Do you know how much tax you're paying on fuel?

I found the link below and was shocked, , thats right eek.

Just out of curiousoty, can people find the breakdown of taxes from your country and post it here? I do believe it will shock you to discover how much we're paying our Governments in taxes. We pay an average of 1/3 of the pump price in taxes

fuel tax - RACV

Well my dear, it's not like there is anything else to do..............The below excerpt is the State of Wisconsin theme song

Artist/Band: Brad Paisley
Lyrics for Song: Alcohol

I can make anybody pretty
I can make you believe any lie
I can make you pick a fight
with somebody twice
your size. . .

Well I've been known to cause a few breakups
and I've been known to cause a few births
I can make you new friends
Or get you fired from work.

(Chorus)
And since the day I left Milwaukee
Lynchburg, Bordeaux, France
Been makin the bars
With lots of big money
and helpin white people dance
I got you in trouble in high school
and college now that was a ball
you had some of the best times
you'll never remember with me
Alcohol, Alcohol

I got blamed at your wedding reception
for your best man's embarrasing speech
and also for those naked pictures of you at the beach
I've influenced kings and world leaders
I helped Hemingway write like he did
and I`ll bet you a drink or two that I can make you
put that lampshade on your head . .

And since the day I left Milwaukee
Lynchburg, Bordeaux, France
Been makin a fool out of folks
just like you
and helpin white people dance
I am medicine and I am poison
I can help you up or make you fall
you had some of the best times
you'll never remember with me
Alcohol

California real estate

A foreclosed property came on the market Thursday at 3:00, I made a full price offer at 3:30. It was on the market one day and received multiple offers, at least one of which was higher than the asking price!

Admittedly this was attractively priced, less than 50% of it's 2004 price. Typically I'm seeing prices around 75% of the previous high. Foreclosures and "short sales" a little less. I'll keep looking...
