She should maybe be fired for participating in a bad photo-essay (she is after all an art teacher) but for some version of immorality? Forget it. She would show far more going to the beach or public swimming pool, the school officials need to be lined up and laughed at for a period of not less than ten minutes.

It is my understanding that some occupations/careers/industries/companies "require" you to be on your "best behavior" - i.e. doing nothing controversial - including things that would call into question your reputation and/or ability to do your job, in this case having the confidence of the community that you are serving as a teacher.

Is it fair? No, not at all IMO.

My own company has some kind of similar policy. Do I give a rip? No, not at all.

ALL companies have that!! Mine even has that and you know how my company functions go ...puh-lease!!

She should be allowed to be a teacher during the day and a shoulder baring model at night if she wants. She was not nude on the cover of Playboy straddling a Clydesdale horse for crying out loud. She appeared in a badly done photo blog posted on Flickr!! She showed less "nudity" than most bathing suits nowadays. The teenie-bopper girls she taught probably dress more risque' for school than those photos - this is a joke!!

Actually, I'm sure all fine art students enjoy their work and if any teacher is more "dedicated" to a particular subject with his/her pupils, they generally tend to be top scorers.

There is a reason why children do not see the sex act between their parents, to preserve a certain bond. I mean the above arguement about being able to see sex and nudity could also be used in my example.

you do realise that artwork involving nudity is in every museum there is? when our teachers in school brought us to art museums did we not see carvings with obviously nude figures? and paintings that showed "topless" women all the time? i distinctly remember a time when we went and we were all handed brochures with real pictures of a real topless woman. it really isnt that offensive in this day and age to see a topless women especiallt if it is completely irrelivent if she is a good/appropriate teacher.

When will the teacher get a detective and get evidence of the school official's inapropriate behavioral or lack of high moral standards so the can expose them for the hypocrites they are.? Didn't we have a song/movie about this in the 70's?
