Biryani and Kababs are very common dishes during the festivals, but Baqra Eid is well known for 'Gurda Kaleeji' (kidney and liver) varities as you get fresh supply after the kurbani.
Personally i don't like it, but the dish is very pupular.

Grilled kaleeji goes well with booze

. There is a small koisk near my house which makes grilled Kalleji/boti kababs/keeri (udders), and I am his regular customer. He opens shop by 1800 hrs and by 2100 he is sold out.

I don't like organs as food, with the exception of Pate.

If by 2100h the shop is sold out, then you must be bunking office to eat the same. I am told that it takes hours to push the traffic to reach home in Mumbai or even if one takes the suburban train!

Try "gurda kapura". Lots of guys go gaga over it. I believe it is the gonads of the animal

with the kidneys. I have never taken it since I didn't want to be known as a gonads devourer!

I happen to be a blessed person. My office is exactly 3.5 km from my house, in my current job I escape the rut of the Mumbai commuter, as it takes me about 10 min to reach office and 15 min to get home in the evening.
